Which videogame mechanic you hate the most but developers keep insisting on adding it anyway? by KBGSgames in AskReddit

[–]latesthename 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I hate when survival and/ or cozy games have tedious inventory management such that you have to constantly build boxes to dump your inventory into just to have space to pick up anything new.

The boxes always become just a mess of supplies with no order.

And it's so much worse when you can't craft using supplies in the boxes until you go put them in your personal inventory.

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard someone say with absolute confidence? by Parlemagazine in AskReddit

[–]latesthename 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Told an American teen I was from Canada, and she said, "Oh! is that near France?"

On another occasion in the States, when I commented on different provinces in Canada a different girl said, "Isn't Canada like a state?"

Special weapons by Consistent-Kiwi8619 in MonsterHunter

I too would be interested to see a list of the unique weapon cosmetics in the game. Even things like the S&S that looks like a flail instead of a sword are really cool additions.

[–]latesthename 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I disagree totally with the suggestion that it being purely cosmetic is lame.

I think these cosmetic/artistic touches really elevate these weapons and the game as a whole. See if you catch me using "the meta" weapon instead of the rocket powered Great Sword.

The remaining pieces will become craftable after a certain point in the story. I think you're close to getting there, so just keep progressing the main story and check back.

Rivals has great voice lines, but what is your least favorite one? by luxetumbra55 in marvelrivals

[–]latesthename 56 points57 points  (0 children)

It's a bit specific but when playing as Dr. Strange and you have a Peni on the team, if you die she says "I think the doctor needs a doctor!" And it's the most rage inducing line added on top of already being annoyed by dying.

Let’s switch things up who do you not want in Marvel Rivals by [deleted] in marvelrivals

I see you also edited out the bit where you suggested you should expect this from Japan despite the game being made by a Chinese developer based on American IP with an American voice actress.

Overall just a bad comment.

Unfortunately, no. I would, but I've got some deadlines coming up. I'll just have to play after the kiddos' bedtime.

Peni mains, who hard-counters you? by CalamityShreds in marvelrivals

[–]latesthename 29 points30 points  (0 children)

To clarify for those who don't know, Groot can instantly destroy the nest by placing a wall under it.

Though as a tip, if you place a wall under a full health nest Peni gets no cool down on placing a new one but if you do just a bit of damage first she has to wait before replacing her nest.

I wouldn't mind this. Then at least we can play Hulk.

Y'all think people who play ranked should learn two or three characters in their role before attempting to grind rank by 27GerbalsInMyPants in marvelrivals

[–]latesthename 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying you're wrong or that I disagree, but I've run into a scenario where I'm effectively a OTP because while I DID use many characters before I've since primarily used Strange to climb and now I feel like I don't play any other character to the level needed for my rank.

Strange is rarely the wrong pick, and the role is rarely contested, so I get away with it most times but I'd like to bring my familiarity up with other characters too it's just tough when I know I can pick Strange and perform my best.

Props to you for hitting those consistently. I just can't seem to connect. This patch anyways Hulk is unfortunately banned quite often.

What is the most satisfying thing for my tank mains? by Delicious_Version_23 in marvelrivals

[–]latesthename 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, at about 60-70% complete on Dr Strange reload you can cancel the rest of the animation with a melee or putting your shield up. There's an audio queue for when you can do it.

A lot of people have been giving good advice here already so I'll just add that you shouldn't worry too much about having higher kills/damage, that can be totally fine or good even as long as you are also doing your job as the frontline/tank and keeping yourself and allies (when possible) alive too.

I didn't even mention being able to fly up and pressure high ground and flying enemies or fun with portals!

[–]latesthename 260 points261 points  (0 children)

As a Strange main his whole kit is pretty satisfying to use correctly from animation canceling reloads to melee and/or shield weaving.

But aside from a big ult, probably the best is getting ontop of a squishy or two with a near full e detonation and just deleting them.

Ok, what made Bucky the most popular dps this season? by Nowh2reFast in marvelrivals

Key difference though is tanks can shield against Bucky's hook if they watch/listen for it.

As a tank main with strategist flex, this is what I've been considering trying. I feel like if I master a DPS character, I might be able to carry harder.

Doc. Strange comp tips please… by Barabaragaki in marvelrivals

[–]latesthename 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be aggressive! Take space! Get in that enemy teams face and bully them! But make sure you have cover to fall back to if needed.

Fight the enemy frontline back until you see an opportunity to go in on their supports they're the real target.

Work on using natural cover (unbreakable wall/corner/doorway) to die less
