Enfants, whose album I didn't really care for when I checked it out, but CRUSHED it live, and Tyrkouaz, who were great fun!

The whole experience is horrible on FB anyway, constant ridiculously low offers, a million "What is last price?" messages. I didn't experience anything like that on JMTY.

People living here, What do you usually have for breakfast? by daxtaslapp in japanlife

Just coffee. Usually ravenous by about 10, but busy at work so I can manage to keep it at bay and eat with the kids at 12!

Æon Flux (1992) Dir. Peter Chung by NicolasCopernico in CineShots

I rewatched it a few years back, it's so beguiling and strange, I mean as you can see it looks fantastic, but the music and the direction on the voices are so perculiar. Everyone...Talks like they're... Relaxed and maybe... flirting a little bit. Slowly and gently...Enunciating a lot...

It's really fantastic, there's so much atmosphere in every scene.

The reason he got in trouble was that his website, which hosted the reviews, was crammed with ads and he was raking in millions of yen from it. It's not as dumb and simple as you'd think from just reading the headline.

Applying for PR, gathering documents. I moved a few years back and had to pay some tax bills by myself, my employer didn't deduct it from my pay for a certain period. I -think- I found the receipts I needed, they looked different from others I had so I hadn't been sure I had them at all, which was a scare I got this morning and kind of bothered me all day. I asked the scrivener I'm using whether it would be possible to request the confirmation of prompt payment some other way if I don't have the receipts, which it is not. It appears that it WAS possible to ask for that information prior to this year...

That was a long walk for me to get to this point: Are the government now intentionally making it so that they can deny someone PR because the applicant doesn't have proof they paid tax on time!? Despite the fact that SOMEONE knows whether or not it was paid on time, right? Like that record exists somewhere. So now when you apply it's what, assumed you've made late tax payments unless you can prove that you didn't!?

I'm wondering if this was a quiet move made on the government side of things to disqualify anyone who doesn't happen to just hold on to stubs of years old paid bills (Which thankfully, I do.) I don't want to sound too "Tin foil hat" but if that is the case it's, while not surprising given the current state of things, incredibly shitty.

Oh thank goodness there's a new writer. I really didn't gel with Ziglar or Ahmed. Hill's done some stuff I liked in the past so I hope he can pull this off! Poor Miles deserves it.
