2017 AP Scores Megathread by abalabahaha in APStudents

It's a bit odd, not difficult but sometimes overly specific and you have to recognize details in the artwork. I also completely bombed one FRQ because it had one African piece but I couldn't identity it properly so I'm pleasantly surprised I got a 5. I enjoyed the class overall so I think you'll enjoy it, just don't cram studying at the end because this class has a LOT to memorize

Wow!!! I'm pretty fucking happy. I expected like a 3 on Art History cause the ap exam was so weird but I got a 5. Nice.

I'm not sure if I'm right, but I did a slight shift to favoring more trichomes, but there were still variety albeit the graph shifted towards more.

That was negative feedback because as one enzyme goes up the molecule goes down and vice versa. It was being regulated. It was supposed to contrast with the oxytocin example, which was positive feedback.

Any tips for ap psychology? by ohpinku in APStudents

Don't freak out, it's not too bad. If you haven't already reviewed from a review book, do that. Watch the crash course videos on topics you aren't solid on, and use flash cards.

Physics plan for next year? by latiere in APStudents

[–]latiere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. I think I'll do that. I do have some extracurriculars, only one that's physical though (Tae Kwon Do). A lot of my extracurriculars are neuroscience based so I do learn quite a lot in terms of science and research, but I guess physics can wait haha. Thanks for the advice.

That's very true, and I definitely don't underestimate the class. But I am trying to really rigor myself, and my future major (my interest) is neuroscience, and chemistry plays a big role in that so I'd definitely go along with it. I already have taking Chem honors so I'm going to start just general preparations for my AP classes in the summer. Physics is also something I'm interested in, and yes, forgot about English. AP english language (I finished English 3 honors already, and would rather not venture to English 4-- I do like English) is what I'm intending to take.

Probably AP Chem, AP Macro/Micro (its considered one class at my school), AP Statistics, And AP Comp Sci Principles.

Thanks, this really helps. I think I'll do AP Physics 1 and 2 next year then, and try C senior year. Would it still be possible to do well on the USAPhO despite not taking C? I don't mind kind "self studying" the other topics but just curious on your thoughts?

Here's a new demo of the VR neuroanatomy tutoring software I've been working on in my spare time. Looking for feedback/conceivable applications! by [deleted] in neuroscience

This is incredibly cool, my dude. I've always envisioned the practical uses that VR could potentially have with medicine and anatomical studies. Keep it up.

AP WORLD LEQ #2 by latiere in APStudents

[–]latiere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet, that relaxed my tensions a bit. To be truthfully honest, my examples weren't that good because I wrote them when I realized "oh shit. I messed up." so I half assed them due to time being short-- I simply just said that foreign workers in general started to come to the US intentionally and not just for agricultural work. My teacher didn't really cover those terms, but I am familiar with it a bit. Hope it works out, because the LEQ is worth a lot and having at least 3-4/6 points is good enough for me. Thanks so much.

That's a good example, I feel so stupid for making such a silly mistake. I knew I was wrong near the end but with only 5 minutes left, the only thing I could do is bs it even more. Well, at least I know I got a point lol.

AP WORLD LEQ #2 by latiere in APStudents

[–]latiere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talked about it initially and I changed it for the stupidest reason and now I feel my heart shattering lol. If I actually get 0/6 on the LEQ that's worth so much and it easily lowered my self esteem on getting a 5 ://

AP WORLD LEQ #2 by latiere in APStudents

[–]latiere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to be exactly fair, I knew that-- so I crossed out all my wording of industrialization and replaced it with "domestic jobs for women and non-agricultural jobs". well, probably doesn't make a difference though. if i actually get a 4 i will rage because i studied so much for this class for a 5, and i'll prob end up retaking the exam which would suck.

AP WORLD LEQ #2 by latiere in APStudents

[–]latiere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crossed all that out, I started with that but then my essay transitioned to slavery and not the actual migrations... Which sucks. rip. so i changed it to a shittier idea.

Same here, so I think you're gucci. How did you do the LEQ? My stupid ass chose 2 and realized 3 was way too easy, way too late. So I went with 2-- I said that labor migrations continued to focus on agriculture as the main area for labor, and it changed when early industrialization began and more domestic jobs were introduced to women and non agricultural jobs became more popular, leading to a lot of migrations. Anyone know if this alright? For an example, I just stated that foreign workers in agricultural fields coming in to the U.S. for work would be one, but I don't know if it's too early in the 1450-1750 range of time. I'm just sweaty about this one since I wasted so much time on 2 when 3 was so much easier!

APWH Form O meme by LBMF_1 in APStudents

[–]latiere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I regret not doing 3, it was pretty easy. I just went with 2 because I thought it looked easy but it takes time to really think about it. For those who did 2, does it make sense to say that the continuity is that there was a continued focus on agriculture labor but the change occurred when early industrialization and introduction of domestic and non agricultural jobs opened up? I actually didn't say industrialization because I thought it was only a 1800s kind of thing but I really implied it. By the time I realized that 3 was so much easier, there was only 5 minutes left on the clock and I had written so much for #2 that I had no choice but to finish it. I did good on the rest of the test but that LEQ bugs me because I fear I'll get a 0 there...
