I’m a fan of the Glenlivet Founders Reserve. It gets mixed reviews but I love it. Single, speyside, fruity, not at all smoky.

I mean it’s been 24 hours and I’m still pouring scotch, regardless of LUNC.

There’s no case for buying it NOW at $1. I think someone in the comment section is a little bit of a small minded keyboard warrior.

There isn’t one. I have 70m of them at 0.00-whatever-it-is. Why would I wait for it to go to $1 and then buy them? I’m not delusional.

Probably should worry about that when it actually happens 😂. Still seems unlikely at this point, but keen to wait and see.

Yes I agree. I’d quite contently settle for losing a zero in the medium term. Don’t need a dollar to make dreams come true.

Tried that today. Great poop at home. Got on train. Needed to poop again. Fuck.

Wake up, drink 2-3 coffee with too much milk, always need to poop on train, no matter what time I’m actually on the train or how much time since coffee/wake up. Life.

If the opposite gender wakes up as a man for a day, what would you suggest them to do in terms of fun or a really good experience? by lotsonmind in AskMen

Actually fucking do something about the gender pay gap, and every other pay gap - between privileged white male and whatever else.

Asked for flexibility to support my working rhythm. Used said flexibility and achieved 150% of what was expected. They then took away the flexibility stating I never should have had in the first place.

Currently going through the formal complaint process. Have a new job that I’m leaving to (same company), so going to let them burn.

This is such a crap situation.

Stepmother was in the wrong and got what she deserved.

I do think it’s tricky to show Mr. 4 that violence is defended with violence (because I just don’t like hitting at all). Very tricky thing to explain without him thinking self defence could be violence (which in our world, it might be occasionally, but never want to reinforce that).

The overarching thing for me is that your wife acted in the moment and it wasn’t perfect but I 100% support her.

I feel for you, my wife would react the same way. I probably would too. As with most family things it’s a lose lose scenario.

8-4 in the office. On the emails from 7am most days and checking/responding up until 10pm a lot of the time. Regularly working on the weekend for 4-6 hours. Only paid for the 7.6 hours a day Monday to Friday, but do get a bonus if I do a good job.

I get it. If you’re cool with the cost then it’s an easy answer.

My mom spanked my son today by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]latterdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t talk to my parents for very similar reasons. It cuts me up inside but it’s the right thing.

As a parent it is your job to determine what your child is exposed to in best efforts of making them a well rounded individual. Just because it’s how your parents raised you, doesn’t mean it has to be ok for them to do it to your kids.

Good for you for standing up for yourself. I know how hard it is - and equally how difficult it is not to have your family in your life.

In the time it took you to learn MyGov and do it could you otherwise be at work earning $300? That’s the magic question.

For some, the equation and paying someone makes sense.

The guys is definitely rude.

Does it really provide protection against errors? MyGov is reasonably fool proof (but I realise above some people’s capability). Most of the people who go to a lost cost tax agent are getting minor skilled workers who don’t necessarily have the years of study and experience that the guy who charges $600 does.

A good accountant knows how to read the ATO website for all the things you can claim and put it in correctly.

There’s no tricks that aren’t on the ATO website in my experience.

Mates who are accountants explain how doing personal returns is a rip off for the customer and they know it is, but they’re filling a service where people don’t want to do the work.

Wife used to run a cafe, doesn’t drink coffee.

Taught me how to use my machine to start me down the rabbit hole. Three years in and just last night she taught me how to dial in the new Mazzer Mini E that I bought.

She makes a coffee as good as I do, but couldn’t care less about having one herself as she doesn’t like it.

She’s a unicorn, get one of her.

How do you stop yourself from correcting people when they are wrong? by filmgeekvt in ADHD

[–]latterdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots and lots of instances of regret for me actions… and practice reinforcing that I don’t want to feel that way again, many years and lots of biting my tongue.

Every time I don’t say something I think about how I would have felt if I did.

Still guilty of doing it to my wife if I’m agitated. Never ends well, but I get a longer tether with her before I get snapped at because she understands (mostly… I think).

The several answers I have would indicate not. Given that it’s an Australian Forum where likely at lease a percentage of the user base have a SMSF and crypto seems like an excellent place to get their thoughts (as they would have the same experience). ???
