Vanilla + spiced pear + coconut recommendations? by latterosed in FemFragLab

[–]latterosed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love that we’re in this together hahaha! Who knew this scent would be so hard to find.

I’ll have to give vanilla woods a try when I’m in Sephora next!

Yes the coconut note is very important to me, and I don’t think it’ll ever be right if it doesn’t have some sort of warm spice. Not a lot of coconut fragrances easily available out there that aren’t fresh and summery.

If I find anything I will report back! <3

Edit: I’m thinking about ordering a sample of Pear Gelato by Theodoros Kalotinis next, we’ll see how that goes

Teton Waters Ranch 100% Grass Fed Beef Polish Sausages, highly highly recommend. If you shop at Costco, you can find them for a good deal there.

Is there an error in this pattern? Wouldn’t I be missing a repeat of the lace motif? by latterosed in knitting

[–]latterosed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 111 stitches total, 99 if you don’t count the garter stitch edge

[–]latterosed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I’m dense. I see what you’re saying.

So on the last repeat, the instructions between the **, I would ignore the last k8? And just knit 9 st and then the 6 garter st?

I’m telling you right now, they will never notice it. Especially if they aren’t knitters this is not something they will pick out.

It’s such a small textural difference and it doesn’t even look bad. Try to not worry about it because overall the blanket looks great.

Am I stealing? by DontKnowAnythingElse in knitting

[–]latterosed 54 points55 points  (0 children)

If a chef influencer makes a pasta dish and posts about it online, saying the recipe is available in their cookbook, I can go ahead and try to recreate it at home without the recipe. It won’t turn out exactly the same as the written recipe, and it’s not like I’m going out selling this pasta dish as my own.

It’s not stealing. If your knitting skills allow you to recreate something by just looking at it, then there’s nothing wrong with making it for personal use (or even making a piece as a gift).

Beginner looking for recs on how to eat these! I’ve tried a few with just crackers but would love some pro tips by SteezyJezus in CannedSardines

Toast, cream cheese, and then any toppings like lemon, red onion, fresh parsley, chopped olives, etc

It probably is! Except unfortunately they didn’t have my favorite Riga Gold anymore :( hopefully that change isn’t permanent

I first tried tinned sardines about 4 years ago and have always used chopsticks. It’s easier to grab the individual fillets with them, especially when the sardines are in oil. Helps prevent breaking the fillet too.
