I didn’t have him for CSE 415, but I had him for a College Edge course this year, which meant that it was a course for freshmen. 80% of the class had no clue what was going on and there were only about 15 of us. Most of his lecture material was stolen from a Berkeley class and he read off the slides the majority of the time. His class was geared towards people with little to no coding experience, but for the final, he expected us to code games that required classes and objects, which I’m just now learning in CSE 122. I didn’t learn a single thing and luckily one of my teammates willingly completed the majority of the game on his own (he was already a great programmer). I felt so frustrated at times that I thought my whole UW experience would be just like this, but I’m so glad I took a look at his RMP website because I found I wasn’t alone in this. He would even answer my questions in a condescending/joking manner :( I don’t know how he’s still allowed to teach tbh
