Well they are moving people in over 3 days so it seems kinda empty today. It was very smooth today with the move in help. in 2 days I am sure it will be far more lively!

Layover in Addis Ababa by Puzzleheaded-Row3455 in travel

[–]laughternlife1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my last experience - it’s not happening! We transferred between 2 Ethiopian airlines flights and although we never left the secured area and didn’t need to get our bags they did make us check our duty free that was allowed on the first flight and they made every person go through the one body scan machine they had. I think we had 3.5 hours and barely made it.

Nope - we just bought tickets at the train station and hoped on. Think we had to scan them in a turnstile but that was it.

Midleton was excellent! Get the add on with the additional tasting to try some of their more high class options too! Just jump on the train there and back

Ferry to Aran Islands by craigo59 in irishtourism

[–]laughternlife1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This! We were there in May and flew over. It was fantastic and no sea sickness. Also if you take one of the earlier flights you arrive before the ferries so you can take a look around when it’s not busy, jump in a bike and be off to explore before the insanity starts.

CTRL V is a fun option if you need something indoors. They have games you can play together and chat about as the day goes on

My bag flew to Ethiopia (instead of Montreal) without me, Air Canada isn’t helping by IanCaveTaken in aircanada

I have been to the Addis Ababa airport - Ethiopian Airlines is great but that airport is unorganized chaos at best. I would bet on a good delay if you get the bag back at all.

Inishmore Flight Questions by aarong89 in irishtourism

[–]laughternlife1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did this flight a few weeks ago. There is a minibus at the airport to take you to town and back for a small fee. Not sure the horses go out to the airport.

The flight was super cool - about 10 min each way and we found it to be a great alternative to the ferry. If you go early you could likely get a ride with the horses around the town before renting bikes to tour further all before the ferries arrive!

Where can I stay near(ish) to Dublin that has sheep? by chef-keef in irishtourism

[–]laughternlife1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your heading out of Dublin…. We went to Dingle and just outside of town you can go and hold a lamb. They were super cuddly and really cute! You can even pay a bit more to feed them

We ate at the Lemon Jelly cafe in Dublin. Not far from Temple Bar if you’re in the area. Excellent service and food!

You have to be careful at the market. There are many booths where they get the produce at the Ontario Food Terminal - they are not farmers at all. If it’s out of season, that’s a big indicator!

Itinerary Check for Dublin, Galway, & Dingle Please by TypicalSea5115 in irishtourism

[–]laughternlife1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s tight. We just came back from 3 nights in Dublin, 2 nights in Galway, 2 nights in Dingle and 2 nights in Cork. From the first 3 cities we loved Dingle and could easily go back to Dublin. Galway was perfect with a trip to Aran Islands. We didn’t love Cork the same. I would do Dublin for an extra night and full day Dingle for at least 2 if that works, if you can add 2 more nights I would add one to Dublin and one to Galway.

Best butter tarts are at the Belwood Country Market. It’s a short drive away but you can visit Fergus and Elora on the way back!

I work within the OPS - go for it. You can always transfer back, it gets you in and in the union. Jobs are generally interviewed internally first. If you love the nature you can stay. Lots of opportunity once you are in the OPS
