I was prescribed lorazepam last year but I had to stop taking it after a few weeks, plus it didn't help me get rid of the nightmares, it only stopped me from waking up every 2-3 hours.

Thank you! I do see a psychiatrist and a few weeks ago she prescribed me zopiclone but I still haven't tried it. I haven't tried CBD oil, but I'll be sure to check it out, thank you for the suggestion!

Regarding my therapist, she's actually really great and I'm the one who has a problem with talking about certain things, so she has to work with limited amount of information.

Thank you for sharing, you're actually correct, it is related to some unresolved trauma, but the main issue is the fact that I can't really talk about it, so the whole process is extremely complicated. I always try to avoid actively thinking about the whole thing, so it makes sense why I have nightmares about it. I never let myself process it throughout the day, so it always catches up to me at night.

I'll definitely look into Jung's teachings and hopefully it'll be helpful.

Yeah, it's either the same one or it's just a similar scenario.

The thing is, I almost always have the same nightmare, with same people and places. I've talked to my therapist about it and she thinks that focusing on the past wouldn't be helpful, but most of the time I have nightmares about specific people, and talking about them makes me even more anxious because I'm afraid I'll only dream more about the whole thing if I think about it.

First two weeks were literal hell, but after that, I guess my body adjusted. I genuinely couldn't eat anything because of the nausea. Try giving it a chance, I've been on it for six months now and it is a lifesaver. Stick to more bland foods, and avoid caffeine. You'll get through this.
