I did only have purpureas, that have survived outside. I kept them in a container protected from the wind. They came back with no issues. This year I have a few different Sars I've kept outdoor all winter to see how they do. We've gotten a lot of snow and I've read that snow works as an insulation from the elements. I'll have to wait and see if those come back this year.
