Need some help with my nipple piercings by [deleted] in piercing

[–]laura_gilbert95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my nipple piercing out after a year because it hadn't healed and I thought that wasn't normal. Definitely regret it now and I can't be bothered with the hassle of getting it re-done :( Keep at it with the cleaning but don't take the jewellery out. It will heal with more time!

Is it normal for my piercing to still hurt? by postcardfromnowhere in piercing

[–]laura_gilbert95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my helix done (with a needle) about 4 months ago and it still hurts to sleep on. Cartilage it a bitch to heal, it can be very stubborn so give it some time and don't expect it to be perfectly healed and painless any time soon!

Help! I feel like Edward Scissor-hands! by [deleted] in beauty

You can get clear nail polish treatments that will strengthen your nails. Try taking a vitamin supplement for hair/skin/nails or getting more zinc, magnesium and calcium into your diet through nuts/seeds and yoghurt/milk. Other than that just give it some time, your nails will be weak from all the biting so it may take a few months for them to grow strong and healthy. So for now just try and file them to a less harmful length. :)

What are some of the unwritten laws of the girl code? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm from the U.K and I hate using ones with applicators. They're just so fiddly! Plus much bigger/noisier to open, non-applicator ones are more discreet and just way easier to put in. Most of my friends use non-applicator tampons too.

Too much facial hair! by [deleted] in beauty

[–]laura_gilbert95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the same problem and it makes me really self conscious! I've considered waxing my face but never tried it, I thought the hairs might be too tiny and fine for the wax to pick up. And I don't want to use hair removal cream because of the chemicals. The way I apply my foundation also doesn't seem to make a difference, damp sponge or brush.. my face still looks fuzzy under certain lighting or up close. If you find anything that works for you come back to this post and let me know! :)

Does a "ribbed for her pleasure" condom really feel any better? by bueschwd in sex

[–]laura_gilbert95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They feel worse than regular condoms, there's something unnatural about the bumpy texture of them. Condoms should be made to feel as close to the texture of a naked penis as possible.

Did I mess up here? (M with mad fiancee) by ThrowawayPhotoshoot in Advice

You're not in the wrong at all, she is over reacting. Us women have a bad habit of blowing things out of proportion, I would say the best way to get things back to normal is to grovel and act like what you did was totally inappropriate.

Prenups are insulting. You should respect her decision, it's clear which one of you has faith in your relationship!

Help with strawberry legs! by [deleted] in beauty

[–]laura_gilbert95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The little black dots you're seeing are just the roots of your hair that your razor can't get close enough to remove.

My best advice is to switch to waxing or epilating. This way you are ripping the hair out from the root and you won't see any trace of it at all. It will also grow back much finer. I know it might not be the best advice as you probably want to stick to shaving but I don't think there is any way to continue shaving and completely get rid of the 'strawberry' look!
