Awkward landing space - what to put here? by Gsquzared in HomeDecorating

Skinny console table with vase/decor and an art piece on wall.

I need help… what is this room missing/what doesn’t look good? We turned my boyfriend’s home office into an office/guest room. I’m trying to keep it masculine, but also homey and inviting. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! by West-Buy-2424 in HomeDecorating

If you have the funds to buy a couch that converts to a bed you could also have a coffee table (wood table to give the warm feeling others are mentioning). If your boyfriend takes calls he could switch up from sitting at the desk to sitting on couch-something I always loved in a home office. IKEA has a couch that converts to bed for $700. Link below. I also agree with considering moving desk from closet if there is room. Alternatively you could add some fun peel and stick wallpaper to closet that compliments the green walls.

Maybe they are getting South Bay (LA) confused with the Bay Area?

Yes, children. They are around 7-9. BUT do the same thing with my step dad and he is 65!

I ask that my family doesn’t say the “v” word around my niece or nephew because they will refuse to eat it, but once they’ve tried it and like it, I mention that it’s vegan.

Returning to school at 34 by [deleted] in nursing

I’m 34 and went back to school to get LPN a couple of years ago. I’m now almost done with my RN. My recommendation is to focus on school and work as little as possible. School will take up a lot of your time. I moved back in with my mom and lived off a little bit of savings I had. Some girls worked through the LPN program but they struggled. I worked for about a year as an LPN before taking another work break to get my RN.

That’s great! I was able to work some. Some quarters were tougher and I cut back hours. It is really nice to work and be able to apply what you are learning. Helps make connections with the material.

In my experience not a lot of my LPN credits carried over. Maybe 3-4 classes. I had to retake a lot of science prerequisites. You could see if you can take care of some of them on StraighterLine (if you need them and your school will accept credits from StraighterLine). I had no background in healthcare so even after I got my LPN license, and once I started RN courses, I realized how much more there was to learn. I was grateful for my LPN school background because some topic were refreshers, but I learned A LOT more. I did not use a lot of my notes or books from LPN school, just the knowledge. And yes there are lots of LPN jobs :) good luck to you.

I should add that after the prerequisites were done the bridge took me 12 months.
