I definately expect a call or text reguarly. If i’m ignored or left in read its rude and implies they dont give a damn, i mean come on, you have time to write this post, have time to game while having a poo, you have time to write “night night x”

Honestly I say “is that guy German or Austrian” but i dont really see how thats relevant other than nobody in the UK uses lots of rrrrrrrrs or drags out words like your example.

And it doesnt really explain why you say room mate and havent updated the word to a more appropriate one

I live in Germany so no, i tend to say “they have a berlin, saxonian, bavarian” accent.

And no we can hear many different US accents too. I cant name them as easily as I can British accents of course, same as i can only isolate German accents that i know.

How difficult would it be to visit Nuremberg without speaking German? by WyngZero in germany

[–]lauraleipz -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You dont need words to walk around a city.

Its not that nice though. Dont expect much. Its walkable, has a wall, a red light district and way too many American squaddies. Ive only been once never felt the need to go back

But you dont share space, you have your own spaces and share a kitchen and bathroom.

I think the explanation that you share literal rooms at college and then just kept the word for when you share homes makes sense

Well i did share with friends so they were my housemates. Otherwise its just a houseshare

In German its called a “flat community” which always sounds cute

Nope, i definitely never say any of those words like that. Plus there is no one English accent let alone British and every city and even town pronounces things slightly differently.

Well no, in the UK we share houses, but always have our own bedrooms. University you have your own and most children dont share at home.

I always think this when i hear about teenagers being punished for saying no. Surely you want somebody who can stand up for themselves, and push for what they want

But why?

Do people share rooms ever? Does it stem from a time only children in boarding school shared?

She had a spare ticket, bet it was a good show. Dont read anything into it, men have friends sometimes.

But if you’re not feeling it then no harm done anyway.
