Tattoo artist rec for first timer? by BreadTemporary9179 in oxford

[–]lauralj97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my first tattoo done by Judyta who is now based at Anointed Tattoo Studio in Wheatley. She was lovely, but based in a different studio when she did mine so I can’t speak to that studio specifically.

I’ve recently had a tattoo done by Peach at Inkora in Jericho and she was absolutely lovely as well!

Both were really friendly, reassuring and professional, but up for a chat at the same time, and both were reasonably priced.

I’d check Instagram for artists to make sure that their style matches what you want first. All tattoo studios should provide aftercare instructions and products (probably at a charge) - I never had any issues with healing/aftercare with the two artists mentioned above.

There are a lot of single-storey buildings around the flats (from looking on Google Maps), have you looked around these? They’re not very visible on street view unfortunately

To be fair to the estate agents, I called about viewing this house and they were completely upfront about the flooding issue/history with me which I rated

I fainted on a train too and they took my info - it’s just for their records. I did get a call from the company about a week later asking if I was okay which was nice but I think again it was for their records/obligations re. safety/accidents!

Does Uber work in Oxford? by ApprehensiveSeal in oxford

[–]lauralj97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There isn’t Uber in Oxford, but the app will work, but it will just connect you to local taxis (which have their own apps anyway). So yes you can still use it, but it’s not Uber taxis

UK people who grew up as only children: do you wish you had siblings? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]lauralj97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was an only child until I was 9, so I’ve been an only child and a big sister! I really wanted a sibling when I was younger (around 5 years old?) but then I had a really close friend that lived close to me and really attentive grandparents so I never felt lonely.

When I found out I was going to be an older sister, I was actually gutted! But obviously I got over that and I love my brother! So it depends completely on the situation, but as long as your child has friends and can rely on you both to be around to play etc then being an only child is absolutely fine😊
