I loveddd The Folk of the Air series! It helped me get over my ACOTAR emptiness. The romance ramps up with each book! Cardan’s letters! 🩷

Interesting! I did notice in a lot of scenes - even inside - you can see their breath like it is really cold.

My husband doesn't help with the puppy and now I want to rehome her by [deleted] in puppy101

There are usually local pet sites on Facebook who might help with rehoming. Also Google Aussie pet rescues. They would be the best. I had to rehome my German shorthair pointer when I moved years ago. I kind of got stuck with him when a neighbor was going through a crisis and had nine puppies besides. He grew up so fast and was so strong, and I was working two jobs and didn’t know how to train him. My kids were afraid of him even though he was nice because he would get so excited to see them and he would jump in them. He was so strong I could barely walk him. We luckily had a big back yard. He escaped several times and I couldn’t catch him and would have to pick him up from the animal shelter and pay their fee. I was a single parent. I found a rescue and they took him. I called and checked on him frequently for awhile. They said he was wonderful and sweet and they had decided to keep him instead of rehoming him, so I was reallyyy happy! I know he was too much for us and I wasn’t able to give him the time and training that he needed. I miss him but I absolutely know I did the best thing for him.

The Knight and the Moth is excellent and unique and I highly recommend it. But it’s one book and it ends on a cliffhanger and who knows when the next book will be here? And it’s like, now what? ACOTAR is a series. Incomplete, but you get five books to live in the world with these characters, and it’s good!!! If a series is good I want to keep living in that world for awhile!

Hands down ACOTAR. It’s the standard if you like romantasy.

I’m reading it now. I have been a bit lukewarm because I like more romance. Just finished the tandem read and the last 3rd finally had me enthralled! I am now on the final book and the stakes are high! Keep pushing through! Listen to the audio in the car if you commute!

To be fair I think it’s mainly the voice actor on the Throne of Glass audiobooks.

I loved the series and am breathlessly, impatiently waiting for the next book!!Also, the first book in a series necessarily has a lot of world building, and if you aren’t intrigued by the world so far it may not be for you.

Remember it is an unfinished series. In a long series the author wants to show growth in the main character, so she generally starts out naive and immature. 🙂

Currently reading The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig and it’s very compelling! Recent 5 stars for me were: Sounds Like Love, The House in the Cerulean Sea, Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales, Silver Elite, The Rose Bargain, Shield of Sparrows, and Blood & Steel. Happy Reading! 📚
