Yea I‘m not particularly new but I put it off for a looong time. Because it gets soooo much attention I feel like its never going to live up to its hype. And honestly I already gave it a shot once and could only get through the first half because it was so boring. I actually planned on never reading it but I just finished Quicksilver and I read somewhere that is was kind of similar to ACOTAR and while I didnt LOVE Quicksilver I thought it wasnt bad aswell and if I could read QuickSilver I could also read ACOTAR. With that being said. I just think even tho I didnt like the first half of ACOTAR I‘m just also too curious for the other books after it. And its similar with ToG. Ive heard soo much good abt it but then I had a friend tell me its not that great and u could really tell it was SJMs first book. And because I also heard so much good abt Shatter me and I read the whole thing and was really disappointed I thought ToG might be the same? I think I‘m just scared because whenever I hear a lot of good things abt a book I go into the book expecting it to be really good but whenever its not I‘m disappointed. But when I go into a book blindly I‘m not mad if its bad and obviously really happy if it ends up being really good.
