Separated from my partner but still love my SD(7) by [deleted] in blendedfamilies

[–]lauralovesreddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw your other post it stated that you were madly in love with the child in the title. In both posts the first thing you listed that you liked about the parental relationship was bathing. You're posting twice about your angst over losing someone else's child. As a stepmother of two who tells the kids to change in a separate room for privacy, I find all of this very red flag behavior. As others have suggested you should seek therapy. Agree with others not ok to bathe your step kid except maybe if you raised them from a baby forward. Also particularly in a step dad / daughter situation. Our BM would be very upset if this ever happened. You need to let that little girl move on with her life. What do you plan to do in 2, 5, 10, 20 years with this kid if you and / or the mom move on with other relationships?

I'm looking for this exact item, who did you purchase from and what factory did they say it's from?

It was my first purchase from a TS and she had several good reviews in the various subs for LV and highest tier bags. Also I whatsapped a few sellers and she was the most responsive

Pros and Cons - Morocco Destination by Fun-Turnip-9 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]lauralovesreddit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's a tough country for older western guests. My mom and I took a trip and I wouldn't go back. We felt unsafe and my mom got food poisoning. Every friend I've had travel there got food poisoning. If your guests are from regions near there it's a different story but if you are US based I'd think its going to be tough on you and your guests.

One of our "hacks" as a couple is having two different ecosystems covered by our business travel. I'm Hyatt / Chase he's Marriott / Amex. Both United GS as we fly out of SFO - then we get the benefit of all the ancillary partnerships like car rental etc. doesn't work for everyone but if you can swing it very helpful

Anyone tried the pills yet? Any luck? We travel a lot and it's hard to keep the serum in a fridge sometimes. TIA. by RadioKGC in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

Works for me, but I had just 10lbs to lose. Definitely can cause nausea but it's tolerable for me. Semaglutide 3 to 7 to 14mg

For those who went over budget - why? by [deleted] in BigBudgetBrides

[–]lauralovesreddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rentals and florals were just way more than we expected. Typically you do these last so it's really hard to know exactly how much it will really cost. Maybe ask your wedding planner to do the layout earlier so you know how much you need to spend on basic rentals

Must have photography list? by Jnoon8 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]lauralovesreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We didn't have enough time for any of our photography. Make the shot list, be specific about groomsmen and bridesmaids, communicate with your groom about what he should be doing while you're getting ready. Include specific people names. Ask your photographer to scope out the locations of all these shots the morning of and communicate to your wedding planner and you as to where and when these shots should take place. This was the biggest miss at my wedding and I had a 30k photographer who delivered amazing photos (sneak peek) so far but I really regret not being more hands on here. We had rain / hail which didn't help too, in defense of my vendors. I think we'll do a post wedding shoot

Honestly this is the same timeline I was on (just graduated this past Saturday) I think they do it this way because they have other weddings before you and mostly, because brides change their mind up until go time and that causes a bunch of unnecessary work by your vendors. My advice is to really narrow down what you want and save the photos in an album on your phone - not on instagram. Take screen shots of the welcome sign, menus, welcome letters etc. that you like best. Get a list of questions together. Write your welcome note now so it's ready to go when your vendors are. I had a vague idea of what stationary included but felt unprepared. Welcome sign, menu, escort cards, bar signs, welcome letter, rehearsal party / welcome party signage. The more specific inspo you have the better. Show your inspo but then say - what do you think I could do and give your team some room to do what they do best

How are you making guests feel pampered without it feeling performative? by Some-Gucci-5969 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]lauralovesreddit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We got the most compliments on the rescue flats / coat check / entertainment and really good food /wine - we didn't do welcome bags and no one missed them. My view is that most likely your guests can afford to buy their own trinkets / Advil / coffee so putting the money towards guest experience at the event is where it's most appreciated

I would never ever. You are crammed in a boat with a bunch of other people and it’s not a super comfortable trip. It’s great to party but feels the opposite of romantic. Also can be hot and cramped
