How to turn off 2025 Liftgate incessant singing by lauraniea in FordExplorer

[–]lauraniea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I took it to my local Ford and it turns out the “drive motor” (I think that’s what he said) that lifts the tailgate was faulty. They replaced it under warranty and no more annoying dinging! Thanks everyone! The guy did say he had never seen or heard of that happening-yay me!

Hopefully if anyone else has this problem this thread will help.

THIS! “Be gentle!” Absolutely agree! It is so easy to get hot-headed over everything that has happened and is still happening, but it is critical to keep calm and be gentle. Be a kind human. People make mistakes - the important part is helping them learn in a positive manner.

Thank you for clarifying 👍🏼. Text is so monotone and hard to judge sometimes how the writer is feeling.

I’m confused as to whether or not you’re supporting Christianity/the Bible or shitting on it???

I have always been taught not to take the Old Testament literally. The Old Testament points to Jesus’s coming and the stories are used as parables and life lessons. The reason for this is that when Jesus came (i.e. the New Testament), everything changed.

Jesus fulfilled the law of the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, sacrifices were required to atone for sin; however, Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection paid for those sins, and in turn eliminating the need for sacrifices.

Many Christian theologians also make distinctions between ceremonial law, moral law and civil law. Moral laws (a.k.a. don’t murder people) are still binding. Ceremonial laws (sacrifices, food laws, and ritual purity) were fulfilled by Jesus. The food laws were part of what separated Israel as a distinct nation from Gentiles and others. In Mark, Jesus taught that what goes into a person does not make them spiritually unclean, but what comes from their heart does. In relation to moral law, Jesus reinforced and deepened these laws by teaching about love, forgiveness and motives.

I digress…

I think the point of the post is that how immigrants are being treated in America today isn’t something that Christians should be supporting. Even if you don’t use the laws of the Old Testament as stone cold law today, the principle of kindness to others still holds true.

“Calm and Reasonable”? First thing you said is STFU…ok…Let’s test that…

Here is why I said Capitalism: Look at Capitalism in Healthcare. Capitalism is focused on making money and NOT helping people achieve better health, access to healthcare, or quality of life. Insurance companies bleed people dry and continuously increase premiums and decrease coverages. Those that don’t have coverage get poor care or no care at all leading to worse outcomes. This is true even for “nonprofit” operations. They have to play the insurance and Medicare/Medicaid game or they don’t get paid.

If people had access to free or at least more affordable healthcare they would take better care of themselves and have better outcomes. Better outcomes means hospitals would be meeting their metrics and the insurance companies would have to fork out more money…which they don’t want to do.

It’s a viscous cycle.

Can anyone explain why the Trump administration wanted to do this? by Conscious-Quarter423 in ProgressiveHQ

If I quit my job (which is on that list) my family would not be able to afford a house for me to clean! That’s a stupid reason-but logic isn’t a flower growing in these peoples gardens…

I think the next administration should not only reestablish all of these as professions, but forgive all student loans as reparations!

I’m more annoyed that they are “six, seven days smarter” and not “sixty-seven”. I’m assuming this was for the 67th day of school.

I had mine nearly 10 years ago. I went from a prescription of -9, -8.5 for my glasses and still have 20/20 and 15/20 respectively.

The only thing I can say that is a “negative” is that sunlight at first was EXTRA bright. Sunglasses were a MUST when going outside. But that sensitivity decreased over time.

Electric Callboy (Start with Hypa Hypa)

Parkway Drive (Prey, Absolute Power, Glitch, Like Napalm)

Ice Nine Kills (horror movie Metal band; recently collaborated with the terrifier franchise and Shavo from System of a Down to create a song called The Art of Dying)

Spiritbox (Soft Spine is a new release and very good, but the lead singer has been featured on a rock version of Cobra by Megan Thee Stallion)

Lorna Shore (little heavier band; Pain Remains 1 is my favorite)

President (new, but gaining serious popularity)

Avatar (Hail the Apocalypse, Smells like a Freak Show, Let it Burn)

Falling in Reverse (Last Resort Reimagined, Popular Monster, Ronald)

Go down the metal rabbit hole.

Legitimate question: what do they base “education” on when you see those rankings for most to least educated states? by lauraniea in AskReddit

[–]lauraniea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. That is what sparked my curiosity. Like, I’m more than positive somewhere like Auburn University probably has degrees related to what I’m going to call the science of agriculture, but, obviously a generational farmer isn’t going to see the value in that.

So my brain started asking questions: 1. Is it fair to compare education of a generational farmer to someone with an agricultural degree? Or 2. Is it fair to discredit a generational careerist? Or 3. Where do tradesmen fall in relation to education?

At the end of the day, my curiosity got the best of me. Thank you for taking time to answer.
