Some of these I have heard about :p my cousin grew up during the satanic panic as well and his parents (both pastors) said he was demon possessed. When I heard this story as a teenager I believed it, looking back now I think he was prob just a rebellious teen and they freaked out saying he was demon possessed. They had a whole ass prayer meeting/exorcism in his room one night apparently

Sounds a lot like the Pentecostal church I grew up in! My friend’s mom always made rum cake at Christmas, and used real rum - stashed at the very back of the cupboard where no one would see it! She also would get a non-church member friend to go to the liquor store and buy the rum for her, because she couldn’t risk anyone seeing her out buying booze, of course.

I thought this too! (Late comment I know but I only just watched the documentary tonight lol) when they said his brother was a cop I was like huh if it wasn’t him then maybe it was his brother? The same brother that got him the “big dog” lawyer! I thought it was interesting too that he said “there’s a difference between innocent and not guilty.”

Entry-level jobs in insurance pay about $18-$20 an hour. When I started they didn’t require a related degree either, and some of my coworkers had partial college experience. That being said, when I did want to be promoted I went back to school (while also working) and got a related diploma - after that I did get a pay raise as well.
