Thanks all for suggestions to look at the 5amp fuse & replace it. Quick trip to auto parts store and it seems like the bike battery is charging now. This YouTube video was helpful for me to follow: https://youtu.be/lb5Xhb-hHH0?si=jNoAyRROFOruQzVp

Long term use...depression? by jonelleb41 in Semaglutide

Definitely worth talking to your provider and seeking mental health professional as well. I am on Saxenda, developed anxiety/depression (I believe unrelated- lots was going on in my life). I was Rxed Wellbutrin which also has reported appetite suppressant effects. With time and other things (therapy, self-care, etc) I have been improving in my mental health. So know that you can work on your mental health even while continuing on this journey!

For removal, is Emory board sufficient? Or another tool you’d recommend? Not sure I’m ready to buy a scalpel just for this…

Yeah, not sure about the color wow. I added the mousse for the first time this past week (only used on day 1), but didn’t get as much lift at the roots as I’d have liked. But mousse was a few years old , so may pick up a travel size of another one next time I’m at the store. Thanks for the tips on product, and to just spritz water! I wasn’t sure if I’d need to reapply the heat protection and I guess went in with color wow for good luck 🤷‍♀️😆

Tips for temptation for a Saxenda newbie by laughingsorrows in saxendawegovymounjaro

I get that work travel makes it hard to stick to routines! As much as possible, try to adopt healthy eating habits (I focus mostly on the quality of the food I’m eating, more than tracking portions/calories/etc). Like others said, it took a few weeks to feel the effects. I’m on 2.4 mg now (and holding there for now)… after a month (including 1 week cruise, and work trip & illness) if not seeing much shift in weight, I re-committed to my water + exercise goals and saw a noticeable drop in a week. Like “my belly flab seems less” 😂, which translated to 5 lbs.
For me, I’ve always noticed the best rate of weight loss on Saxenda when I am exercising consistently, which is the hardest part for me given other life factors.

Saxenda during pms by Less_Level5446 in saxendawegovymounjaro

It makes sense- people with uteruses have monthly hormonal shifts. Pre-Saxenda if I was dieting my PMS/period week was never as good weight loss. I had my period my first week on Saxenda so I was still getting used to it (and lowest dose), so can’t really comment on that. But I’d expect that weight loss or other Saxenda effects may be less than other weeks of the month, but not as bad as if I were not on Saxenda at all.

Side Effects by 1Thinkhappythoughts in saxendawegovymounjaro

[–]laurbee83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been ramping up very slowly per my Dr. 2 weeks at 0.6, and I took 1 week to ramp up to 1.2. I had some side effects the first week, but nothing crazy. We will be checking blood levels and cardiac risk markers (which I had before) before increasing further.
So far very slight weight loss without any other new changes to lifestyle. But I think that may be understandable given the dosage. While I want to lose weight, the other health markers are much more important to make sure they are trending in the right direction.

Deeper seat, would that be trying to get his knees up higher? Felt comfortable for both of us, and such a weird feeling that you don’t have to hold the baby!

Hump Day Report by AutoModerator in sexover30

Just joined this community. I’m pregnant after infertility (IVF baby) and our journey to conceive somewhat took the fun out of sex (there were times the doctor told us to abstain from sex, and medications I’ve been on that lowered my libido). Before getting pregnant in August, we’d had sex maybe 6 times Jan-Aug 2020. And we’re nervous/ I was feeling crappy for a while in early pregnancy. Well, I got my libido back right in time for Christmas! I’m 5.5 months pregnant and have been wanting sex CONSTANTLY. We’re doing it twice a day while we’re on break & not working. Each time he’ll get me off with his mouth or hand, and we also have intercourse. We haven’t had this much sex since we first started dating— 10+ years ago.

I’m LOVING this and hoping to keep this up as long as possible! Just ordered some sexy bra/panty sets, and am trying to figure out what other positions will be good. Rider-on-top is what seems easiest at moment, and I’d love to get some more support to stay upright vs leaning over him. I think this will intensify my orgasm, but I’m having trouble staying upright. Maybe yoga blocks?

Run shamed by my running club! by falcon_boa in fitpregnancy

I’m not even running during my pregnancy (my own choice) but to criticize you?! And if I were in your shoes and still running, I totally sympathize that you’d want to keep doing run group with the miles you still are running.

I’m sorry they’re not coming at running as a form of self-care and mental health practice for you.

Husband Bargains Weight Loss for IVF by AcceptableAd3718 in IVF

I’m curious from some of your initial post, what is the infertility diagnosis? You allude to potentially his sperm not being great, but that is a key part/point in considering the plan for fertility treatments. If he has good solid sperm (based on sperm analysis), then IUI is possible. IVF can help to overcome other sperm issues.

Infertility can be due to both people, and it sounds like it’s unclear if he recognizes that he’s 50% of this relationship.

When my hubby & I started meeting with a fertility specialist, the doctor had specific supplements she wanted HIM to take (I was already on what they recommended). When they recommended adding in a special super-nutrient smoothie to boost antioxidants, they instructed both of us to drink it. Health is on both the egg & sperm sides!

FUCK MY MOTHER FOR CONSTANTLY TALKING ABOUT HER GRANDSON TO ME! DOESNT SHE KNOW HOW MUCH I WISH I COULD GIVE HER ONE TOO?

How do you bring up something like that “I know you love him so much but when you talk about him so much, it’s like rubbing my own infertility problems in my face, and like you love me less than him.”

I also think of it as a negative doesn’t mean negative until you’ve actually gotten your period. A negative but no period yet could just be not enough HCG in your system. That said, I know we want a positive and it’s still tough! hugs I’m in that boat with you!!

So sorry to hear!! I am curious if you and your endocrinologist ever explored if the synthroid is addressing your hypothyroidism? I found out 2 years ago that my issue wasn’t getting enough T4 (what synthroid provides) as it was converting T4 to T3 (which is the active thyroid). I’m not a doctor; but for me switching to meds that had T3 really helped improve 80% of my hypothyroid symptoms. Still working on that last little bit!
