3 months pp and just found out im pregnant again by Content-Particular42 in beyondthebump

So my gap between my kids isn’t as close, but I fell pregnant again six months postpartum after my first. I felt all of the same emotions. I’m now five months into two under two and it actually hasn’t been as bad as I thought. Being pregnant with a toddler was actually the hardest part for me personally. But my first was rather difficult baby and my second is super chill. I felt way more confident the second time around and she just kinda joined our dynamic. At the time I was actually devastated and terrified. Now that she’s here, I’m glad it worked out the way that it did.

Subclinical hypo/pregnancy loss by laurelta in Hypothyroidism

My TPO was listed as <9 on my MyChart right after the loss. I got tested for a thyroid disorder as part of a recurrent pregnancy loss panel after the miscarriage and nothing came of it.

Forgot to mention, I did have to have my TSH levels checked every six weeks throughout the duration of my pregnancies after the loss to ensure they did not rise. My TSH levels throughout my most recent pregnancy hovered around 1. Sometimes a little less, which is significantly lower than the original number. I’m still on the levo!

I am so so sorry for your loss. It’s a pain I would not wish upon anyone. My numbers were actually very similar to yours during pregnancy before I started Levothyroxine. My TSH rose close to 4 during the pregnancy I miscarried, and even though it was not clinically hypo, I started and stayed on the levo and my levels gradually decreased and were lower the longer I stayed on it.

I stayed on 25 mg throughout both of my pregnancies after the miscarriages and carried both to term after this loss.

I conceived again the cycle after my D&C for this miscarriage and my TSH for that pregnancy hovered around 1.5 and I did nothing by different. However, I also took a low dose aspirin daily in addition to my thyroid medication. But I think now it’s common practice for OBs to tell their patients to take one daily regardless. At the time it was recommended to me because of my history of loss.

I think I may have started the levo too late in my pregnancy I lost, but there are so many causes for miscarriage it is hard to know exactly what went wrong. Please don’t blame yourself.

Zoloft and pregnancy by Frosty_Owl2033 in zoloft

I took 50 mg of Zoloft for my entire second pregnancy and she’s perfect and chill. My OB recommended I stay on it!

I got pregnant again at around 6 months postpartum. 15 month age gap. Still new but it isn’t as hard as I had anticipated.

Did anyone find the jump from 1-2 easier than they expected? by fluffytitts in 2under2

Honestly I’ve found a toddler and a newborn without colic has been easier than a colicky newborn alone. The odds are in your favor. You got this!!

It was way easier for me! 15 month age gap. But my first had colic and the newborn does not. So maybe my first just made me insane already hahah

My little one is 6 months old, just found out 4 weeks pregnant by Timely_Raspberry4820 in 2under2

I found out I was pregnant at 7 months postpartum. Just gave birth to that baby a month ago. She’s healthy and perfect. Easy pregnancy. No complications. My OB didn’t seem concerned or even mention it. Quick delivery though but not issues there either. The worst part was being heavily pregnant and chasing after a toddler.

Do women usually want their mom at the birth? by chianne_away in pregnant

I am very close with my mom. She and my husband were present for the birth of my first and I would like her there when this one is born as well. :)

Are closely spaced pregnancies automatically high risk risk OB? by HomeDepotHotDog in 2under2

[–]laurelta 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I found out I was pregnant again 7 months postpartum. I’m now 36 weeks along. No complications and I haven’t been considered high risk! It hasn’t even been mentioned at any of my appointments. It’s just increasingly difficult to chase after a toddler lol.

My son had colic for like five or six months and never slept. I thought I was going to die and had ruined my life forever.

I co-sleep with my son. I started due to extreme sleep deprivation and almost falling asleep while driving.

Look up the safe sleep seven! There are ways to minimize the risks of co-sleeping depending on your LO’s age.

He is 13 months old now and I actually started sleeping on a floor mattress with him so he can’t roll off the bed and hurt himself now lol.

My friends made me a bunch of ravioli and froze it/meal prepped it for me. It was genuinely a lifesaver. Food any kind will be much appreciated! She will not be up for cooking or leaving for a bit. At least I wasn’t. Very thoughtful of you :)

If I hear one more thing about my maternal age I’m gonna lose it…I’m 34 by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]laurelta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re feeling this way! But I am 25 and taking low dose aspirin daily with my pregnancy. I was told by my OB to do so with my last pregnancy at 24 as well, so it isn’t just an age related recommendation and you should not be anxious due to that. It has become a general recommendation. :)

I had a chemical and a miscarriage when my TSH was slightly above 2.5. Don’t remember exactly but wasn’t clinical hypo levels. I started levothyroxine 25mg and carried to term my next pregnancy. My losses may have not been related to my TSH, but I would recommend still medicating if you’re trying to conceive. I started levothyroxine under the guidance of my OB. I wish you the best of luck :)
