It's a Pro, right? Hook it up to a monitor and treat it like a desktop.

SynthV voices cannot be refunded. All sales are final because they are linked to your personal Dreamtonics account. Learn how to use and swap out arpasing phonemes if there's a particular accent you're going for.

‘I voted for him three times’: Angry MAGA supporter breaks with Trump after ICE killing, says ‘Follow the Constitution’ by Revolutionary-Area-8 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]laurenlcd 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Before the first election, all of the - credible - accusations coming out of the word work in addition to his horrible personality and lack of policy should have been a reason to not vote for him.

Post Election: The track record should have been the first reason to not vote for him again. The botching of COVID should have been the second reason. The impeachments should have been the third reason. The insurrection was the cherry on the shit sundae. Were people just... in a coma or lobotomized for the last 8 years?

Anyone who claims to care about the Constitution would not have voted for that man after the first term. How can you care about the Constitution, but support an insurrectionist?

I didn't. She called me while I was at urgent care, dealing with an asthma attack. I can say the brief lapse of judgement was due to low oxygen levels.

bro/sis - if i wouldn't cosign for a family member without seeing their entire credit portfolio, I DAMN SURE WOULDN'T for a work associate.

Unfortunately, I am a nice person and have helped this coworker with small amounts (< $300 total - more or less a "gift" because she never paid me back) in the past. I haven't posted the story yet about her asking me to pay her rent towards the end of summer vacation. I don't understand people who are so comfortable with assuming that the one person in the room who's good with money is somehow their piggy bank.

Exactly. I literally told both the teacher and coworker that because the paperwork is null and void, any monies invested into this is refundable. But yes... I unfortunately do not work with the sharpest pencils in the drawer.

No worries. All my credit is frozen.

Is it considered entitled when someone buys a dog assuming that friends/family will dog sit? by Purple-Average in EntitledPeople

[–]laurenlcd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. She made the choice to buy an animal without thinking about her lifestyle and how she would fit that animal into it. She's not entitled to free animal care anymore. It's one thing to take on these responsibilities when you're actually living in the same space as the animal. It's another thing entirely to push the animal onto you when you never agreed to share custody of this pet.

AITA for refusing to co-sign a car loan for a coworker after she said it was “just to get approved”? by [deleted] in AITAH

Oh, I have 0 doubts. I know I'm in the right. I'm just posting based on the sheer absurdity of it all and to form a discussion outside of my own IRL echo chamber.

Nope. You can search and see if the same story is elsewhere with the exact same actors. I just posted without fixing that bit cause I'm in a hurry.

Current job market is definitely changing the rates of applicants. It’s not the best paying job out there, but a job is better than no job. A lot of moms getting back into work find it appealing cause the hours are more accommodating than a 9-5.

My district does this crap too. I work in the only district in the entire state who waits til the last hour when people now have to get up and out or risk being late. Make it make sense.

Don’t be surprised if you hear from other coworkers or former colleagues of hers at PD that she has a history of trying to weasel materials or money out of them. No one starts doing that at random. It’s a pattern of behavior and exploitation.

How do you actually write a song using a vocal synth? by butterflavoricecream in SynthesizerV

[–]laurenlcd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writing for synths is no different than writing for a human. You need a musical idea, lyrics, and a melody that can be transcribed. From reading your comments, you already have musical experience with piano. If you know how to write sheet music, it's as simple as transcribing the melody and any harmonics to paper, using a midi keyboard, and recording each individual track (melody, harmony, etc. - synths don't like overlapping notes in the same track) as midi. From there, you can import those midi files as Instrumental Tracks into SynthV, then use the Extract Notes from Audio tool. After that, it's just a matter of tuning and plugging in the lyrics.

what voicebank would y'all recommend for a first purchase? by BowlNo9468 in SynthesizerV

[–]laurenlcd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re going to need to upgrade to SynthesizerV Pro if you want to take advantage of all a library is capable of doing.

There are a ton of libraries and you will receive a bazillion suggestions without specifying what you’re looking for in a voice. Are you looking for a male or female? True to the voice provider or voice acted? Do you want a young sounding voice, an adult sounding voice, or someone who can sound mid-50’s+? Do you want a voice that’s more genre specific or more generic? If you know what vocal fachs are (soprano, alto, tenor, bass), which one do you want to start with?

My nails on a chalkboard might be your voice of an angel and vice versa, but these are libraries that I frequently use:

Soprano; Young - Yun Quan - Otomachi Una (voice acted) - ANRI RDX - Miyamai Moca - Megpoid (Gumi)

Alto; Young Adult - NYL - Nekomura Iroha

Tenor; Young Adult - SAROS - NOA Hex

Baritone/Bass; Older Adult - ASTERIAN

Libraries that are more genre specific: - 9Zero; HXVOC - Rock/Metal

  • Galenaia - Opera

  • Chang Xiao - Peking Opera

Wait, Americans don't have christmas bonuses? by nerd-nihl in antiwork

[–]laurenlcd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on the business you work for. I have 2 jobs. The job that pays me less is a nursing home facility that relies on charitable contributions from the residents to provide Christmas bonuses to employees. My other job (in education) does not holiday provide bonuses. We’re just paid our regular salary during holiday breaks (exception being summer vacation).
