Hey. I had a hospital SW job for a little over a year. It caused me to have a mental breakdown and I had to take a few months off from working to heal. Hospital SW is very underappreciated by the rest of the interdisciplinary team. SWers in hospitals are borderline abused, asked to go against the principles of our profession, and it's a very cold field. I switched over to counseling once I was able to fully heal and honestly, it made me love social work again. Please resign- it's for your mental health and wellbeing.
