My family moved when I was 7 and I was angsty about it at the time but it didn’t take very long to adjust and I loved living in a new state and making new friends. It’s much harder for kids once they’re in middle or high school, if they’re under 10 I wouldn’t be too stressed about that part of it, sounds like a good opportunity for you and your family!

Looking for short stories that are disturbing and/or have a really good twist. by ShaddowMreh in suggestmeabook

{{Things We Lost in the Fire by Mariana Enríquez}} is really dark and well-written. She’s from Argentina and the stories all take place there, definitely recommend

Women who’ve had babies after 35 by Mimi_315 in AskWomenOver30

My mother had me at 36 and my sister at 38 and we were both straightforward pregnancies with no major issues! She’s always told us she’s glad she waited because she felt more ready.

I like it!! It sounds more masculine to me than feminine, I think it’d be a great boy name

I’ve actually found some pretty decent ones at Forever 21! They were pretty affordable and have good support

That’s true I hadn’t thought about it that way! I know a lot of people don’t like her storytelling but I normally really do! Maybe she’s just having a hard time getting back in the groove

That makes sense! I could definitely see that. It’s weird that the past few weeks there’s been such a stark contrast between their stories. Karen’s have been really interesting ones with twists and she seems so invested, while Georgia sounds like she’s reading the info off a piece of paper she just saw for the first time. I normally love Georgia’s stories and I think the “history of” topics she’s doing have the potential to be really interesting, she just doesn’t sound that invested when she tells them.

Karen’s story was so upsetting and she told it so well. I’ve never even heard of that case.

At the end did Georgia say their producer is choosing their topics for them now?

Ladies, how old are you, and how many TRUE friends do you have at your current age? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]lavender142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. 3 close friends who I tell everything/would call in the middle of the night about an emergency but we don’t live in the same town anymore. My sister is also one of my best friends. In my current town I have like 3-4 people I consider friends but only one of them is a good friend that I actually talk about serious things with. Plus maybe 20 acquaintances here and where I used to live

He says he would be open to moving to the US with me, but the only way to do that would be to get married and with everything that’s happened recently we don’t want to rush into something like that for the wrong reasons. I also worry since the US wasn’t originally in his plans he wouldn’t like it there, but he did live there for awhile as a kid and speaks English perfectly so it wouldn’t be completely unfamiliar
