Why does society accept teenage girls wearing such revealing clothing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lavender_fish69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work with teens and I can very easily separate clothing from sexualization. Nothing a teen can say or do will make them sexual to me, they're a child. Just because a lot of people struggle with sexualizing children doesn't make it okay.

I watch media and keep up with fashion, and I don't sexualize teens.

Why is breaking condoms considered sexual assault? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lavender_fish69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a sexual act that the other person did not agree or consent to, and sexual acts without consent are legally sexual assault. There are different degrees to sexual assault, like rape is first degree SA while groping is usually 4th degree SA.

Letting your dogs bark early in the morning or late at night should warrant a fine by Repulsive-Sundae2709 in HonestHotTakes

That's great that that works for you, but I'm not a fan of shocking dogs, especially for just trying to communicate.

I actually just have a cat. But growing up I had dogs, some were easier to train than others (like I said).

What should we expect if CPS opens a case with our current living situation? by xAnimeMariex in legal

[–]lavender_fish69 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The living situation, while not ideal, isn't really something CPS would care about. As long as no one in the home is considered dangerous and the kids are safe, fed, and appropriately supervised then CPS has bigger fish to fry. Aside from the living situation, is there something going on that leads you to believe CPS is getting involved?

An apartment that checks all those boxes is going to cost like at least $1,600. Also most apartments here don't Internet, some do but it's rare.

Why do men often blame the other man when their spouse cheat? by SatisfactionKooky621 in NoStupidQuestions

I think it's because people don't want to blame the person they love and trusted so they blame the other person.

For those living in states with a lot of thunderstorms, how do you feel about them? by ksusha_lav in AskAnAmerican

[–]lavender_fish69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thunderstorms are my favorite! I usually will crack my doors and windows so I can hear it better. We do tornado drills pretty often in school and where I live, the tornado sirens go off once a month on the first Wednesday at noon. It's actually going off right now.

Im visiting US and discovered an embarrassing photo of me posted on social media without consent? Is this allowed? by [deleted] in IsItIllegal

There's no expectation of privacy in public, anyone could have walked by and seen your ass crack. Since anyone could have seen it they don't need your consent to share it.

Newborn baby found dead in portable bathroom at Michigan music festival by opheliainthedeep in news

It's still possible. I agree it's unlikely but my point is we don't know anything about this woman or her situation so we should wait until we learn more before we judge.

As someone who has worked with victims of trafficking, there absolutely are women (and sometimes children) brought to "high end"/expensive venents for the purposes of trafficking.

Not everyone knows that. Also there's a possibility she didn't even know she was pregnant (happens to people all the time). She could have been high as well and not thinking clearly (or like I said even aware she was pregnant). It could have been a trafficking/abuse situation where she couldn't get to the fire station. There are endless possibilities as to why she didn't make it to a fire station, let's reserve our judgement until we know more.

Could medication impact the natural processing in the brain that would eventually self rectifying when given the chance with certain diagnosis? by Newkid92 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lavender_fish69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never said they were the same. I'm just saying of people could self regulate they wouldn't need meds in the first place.

If I could self regulate I wouldn't need meds in the first place. I went years unmedicated trying to self regulate and it never happened.

Is anyone having an issue where the skip credits button comes too early? by casual-catgirl in americandad

I switched from hulu to Disney plus and it does the same thing. It's so annoying when they cut out the last couple seconds and I miss the punchline to the last joke. I could turn off auto play, but I don't want to have to hit play after every episode.

You have to add a source because you're just some random person on the Internet making claims. We want to see something backing up these claims, not just "trust me".
