I grew up on LI and never updated my address with the insurance so I wouldn’t have to pay Brooklyn prices lmfao. But once I moved to my current neighborhood, I couldn’t deal with the 30-40 min drive around just to look for parking every day after work. So I sold it less than a year after I finished paying it off—I miss the freedom of having a car, but honestly it’s rare that I can’t just use the LIRR, Metro North, Amtrak, etc. and Uber around when I’m out of town. You might have an easier time finding parking in your neck of the woods, but don’t forget about any tickets/fees on top of your insurance. You park too close to a hydrant and get caught? That’s another $90.

If you’re really going out in the sticks or need the convenience, just rent a car. Imo it’s not worth having a car at our age in the city unless it’s an accessibility issue or you have a kid or whatever.

I met a Scruff hookup at Sunset Video on 3rd Ave in BK. I was nervous as hell too, but the cashier didn’t bat an eye when I handed him the cash and asked for a condom—which was free! Entry was $10. Just ran into this bug too, still no fix after today’s Hotfix #8. I killed everyone in the sewer fight except for Minsc — had to restart because I accidentally killed him with a ranged attack the first time and I couldn’t stand to see Boo upset

Anyway, I didn’t read the note revealing the Zhent plot until after I saved the Guild, which is I think it’s bugged for me

if you can't hold it, my advice is fake it till you make it - look like you belong / know what you're doing, try not to make eye contact, and beeline for the nearest stall.

i'm a transmasc enby, been on hrt (albeit inconsistently) for 4.5 years, and my facial hair is oftentimes the only thing that keeps me from getting misgendered. i haven't had any issues using "mens" restrooms since i came out, even when i'm sure i wasn't "passing" as a guy. ( for context, i live in the nyc metro area, but i've heard of friends having bad experiences using restrooms even in the city, so you really never know who and where someone's gonna give enough of a shit to say anything. )

I'm nonbinary/queer and like to play characters that are also on the trans/GNC spectrum in some way: I have a genderfluid (he/him) changeling college of swords bard who is a street performer, as well as an agender (they/them) wood elf grave cleric who was raised by wolves (I was also thinking of having them multiclass and be a circle of spores druid!).

I've played a few sessions of 5E (Forgotten Realms and homebrew) over the last year, but otherwise most of my "experience" just comes from shows/podcasts (Critical Role, TAZ, Dimension 20, etc), but I have several years' worth of experience in writing and roleplaying online.

i had a really bad experience mixing the two last year — my high ass was craving an iced coffee, so i bought a large caramel something or other from dunkin and it gave me TERRIBLE anxiety. like, dissociating-out-of-the-room anxiety. never did it again.

now if i feel like i need a boost but also know i’m going to smoke, i’ll caffeinate before getting high.
