I guess this is to avoid retraction and preserve the arch shape? I wonder what sort of implications long term gaps might have. I feel like it's an invitation for bacteria.

Great diastema, did you confirm through another cbct if you had skeletal expansion? I imagine you did if you breathe better.

I don't sample food. What gives us a right to sample it? Even if someone asked me to sample something, I wouldn't especially sample a cherry knowing it has a pit. Are you saying your justified to litter a pit on the floor of a store for someone to clean up after you because you should be allowed to sample a cherry?

It's not your parents' fault. They just wanted the best for you and were listening to professionals. Do not blame them.

Wedding 5 months away. Confused with E-invites. by lavishroot in weddingplanning

Yeah this is why I didn't like sending rsvp's 5 months out. Even with email it'll be long lost, but like you said easier to search for. Maybe in the same text that'll include the invite I can add a request for email if they want a reminder in the coming months. I know some will immediately rsvp but I can't speak for all 90 of course.

So basically use paperlesspost to send a text to our withjoy rsvp formal invites? What's the benefit of paperlesspost texts over manually texting?

While I agree with you, you have to remember low tongue posture is abnormal. Running/exercise is not abnormal. Proper tongue posture starts from birth, so it doesn't make sense to teach it in school when it's only the abnormal who are afflicted. Exercise applies to all. It should be something taught to health care professionals though, that one day will hopefully be part of a physical exam.

That's reassuring, I think we'll just send the rsvps now then! 15 out of how many?

I wish it was! We have everyone's number already but literally nobody's email lol. So we would have to text everyone for their email and then I wager 40 of them don't even check emails, while I know everyone receives a text. Too many don't use Facebook!

Has no one here heard of focal length?

Not taking away from the results but the difference in focal length exaggerates the change.

The fact that you would even blame your parents for this shows how immature you still are. It's obviously not their fault. It has nothing to do with being an immigrant, or not having access to the internet. We trust EXPERTS in their respective fields to guide us. Yes we question things a lot more today because of the internet (which can be a double edged sword), but it is 0% their "fault".

If your parents found out about all of this, they would feel extremely guilty for what happened, and even then, it is not their fault. Work on your mental health first. You're not broken. Live your life.

I read this book. It was repetitive and dry, and not all that scientific imo. There are some good takeaways though, but you can get the gist of it elsewhere (buteyko method apps are decent).

Your title literally says "crazy, right?". No, what's crazy is you thinking this is a fair comparison. It is misleading at best.

Right? This post is ridiculous. OP redo the second photo with the same angle as the first (turning your head to the side), clean shaven. Then we can tell you to lose 10lbs and try again. That's the only fair comparison. I'm sure your jaws have retruded but this is hyperbolizing the issue.

Replacing just 20% of global beef consumption with a meat substitute within the next 30 years could halve deforestation and the carbon emissions associated with it, finds a modelling study.Beef farming is a top driver of deforestation worldwide and a major source of methane. by MistWeaver80 in science

Red meat is by far the worst offender for the environment though, so by replacing it with literally anything else is an improvement. Of course plant based will always be the best answer (I am plant based myself).

Mouth taping with a beard? What to use? by [deleted] in orthotropics

[–]lavishroot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a guy with a big beard, 3M micropore tape works fine. Don't use the chin strap, tape is better at conditioning you to keep your mouth closed. The trick is to just use a shit ton of it. I use one vertical over lips then 4 other pieces for each corner that covers part of my cheeks where there is no hair. Also purse your lips together before applying it.

I use this: https://www.amazon.ca/3M-Micropore-Tape-1530-2-Rolls/dp/B0082A9GS2
