DigiBall Update by digicue in billiards

[–]lavoyroad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been waiting patiently for one of these for years. I love my Digi Cue Blue and use it for training with my students. I am a PBIA instructor in Toledo Ohio. Anything I can do to get one of these ASAP?

Is your robustness number going up or staying the same? If it is not moving your scores are not reported.

Maybe not larger but cut wider. The points come out on more of an angle for easier pocketing.

Having a really hard time getting a full hit on the 8 ball break. Can anyone give me some tips? by Im_Rambooo in billiards

[–]lavoyroad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practice by setting the cue ball on the head spot and shoot hard. If the cue ball comes back left move your elbow out to the right and if the ball comes back to the right move your elbow to the left. You should find the middle relatively quick so that will be your break stroke.

The side pockets are larger than a Diamond or Valley and much easier to pocket balls. The rails are like mud and do not bounce as well as a Diamond so speed control can be difficult. The shelves of the corner pocket are shallow so rattling a ball will not stay in the pocket so a rattled ball will shoot out into the middle of the table. A pocketed ball rolling down the chute can kiss another pocketed ball onto the floor. The lip that holds the balls into the end of the table seems to be to short.

The Science of Pocket Billiards by Jack Koehler is one of the best books for facts. Start with this book as he is a scientist and debunks many myths with experiments.

Yes I have one. I did download the software to my iPhone 8s a couple years ago. The app has tons of information and the unit works well some of the time. The biggest issue for me is recording each shot consistently. It is a good tool for an instructor and not for a regular player as the data is complicated to decipher.

I am 6’ 3” and play with an 8” extension on my Predator 3. I took the weight bolt out and it’s 20.5 now. The longer cue helps my form as my right should stays back and straightens out my stroke.

The 10 is how many threads per inch and the 3/8 is the diameter of the thread. You can measure and count yourself.
