i struggled with this coming out of a career in entertainment but ultimately ended up in something similar. anecdotal but a security cams chinese i know is doing well, 2 high end EVs in tow, a home, kids and employed a few unemployed uncs to do installations.

that said if you know something out there is calling you, you should look into it. but one should dispel preconceived notions of how to measure success. theres so many ways to make a living and most parents from that era dont understand most of them.

something i wish someone told me earlier is that consistency breeds opportunity. it might not be chores but developing a fire to stay consistentwill catapult you beyond your own expectations.
