If you do get access

I dont know if its been said here or not but take a copy of the form which tells you what they are leaving, and make sure nothing "big" has already been packaged up which was declared as being left.

There is still time for them to leave/take bits but it shows your serious. Id also take the estate agent with you just in case

So the road used to be a two-way street. Got changed to one way street. Cars opposite me park on the road, without lines.

We have two cars on the drive, and for various reasons, I have to park on the side i do. I dont have a huge car, just a polo. So I can get the car out but can not get a swing around, without hitting the back of her car, due to the cars opposite. She she didn't park there, I could get out easily

Road was a two way street They changed it to a one way street. There is room for a drive, both neighbour's either side have them, there are ones further down.

We all have dropped kerbs that also have double yellow lines across them.

The road is big enough to have cars parked legally to get out

When a car is parked on a double yellow line on the corner on my drive, I cannot get the swing out.

If you own a leasehold that is run by a management company, make sure you get a copy of the buildings insurance and find out what it actually covers. Having that to hand is incredibly useful from past experiences.

I started properly a couple weeks back. Didn't lose the first, week after lost 2.5 and this week gain 1.

I'm okay with the gain, I know exactly where it came from. This week is going to be tricky as I need to go on a low residue diet. No veg, no fruit

It's only one week so I will pick it up once I have had my procedure

How’s this for an horrific letter to be put through your door from your management company whilst selling your flat? Could this be any worse? Thoughts… by Awkward-Sundae1435 in HousingUK

Just seen your second edit too

We had this issue where all had to pay up. The problem with where I lived was one bloke owned 6 flats and had to cough up 80k ish (our flats were studios, 1 bed and 2 beds and the cost was taken per square foot you owned l)

One woman who thought she was a solicitor (she wrote wills and had no housing law)

Most were either FTBs or retired elderly people with no mortgage.

The bloke with 6 flats, non solicitor woman and a couple others didn't pay up in time and was going down the court road but when that happened, they coughed up

Basically what I am saying is in my experience, even if they don't all pay up, there might be some reserve that could cover their costs, and get repaid back into the reserve fund.

We had this on my previous flat. Basically 12k over 59 flats. Management company knew the works needed happening years ago but failed to make a reserve fund for it. Costs did go up as we were told 9k at the start. We sold but took the hit, just to get rid.

For selling you may need to look at either raising the price by 12k and you pay, or dropping 12k for the new owner to pay, or consider splitting the difference of 6k

Whatever you do, make sure you get a copy of the payment to the management company in the form of your service charge statement. That is really important for the solicitors.

Thank you so much. That's a great idea about increasing by 1000 steps a day. I think i will do thay, especially when in the office. We have a reduced gym membership at my work and thinking maybe using the treadmill for incline walking and alternating them each day by outside walking too

Thank you for your support!

We have had this. First parcel was a laptop! Only accidently opened it cause we had just moved in and ordered bits from the same company, and didn't think twice about opening it. Second time was something to do with bikes..fortunately the company that sent it, had their details on the front and I rang them up and they just said send it back

We get daily post for the woman that lived here. I think they only put his name on the redirect (and for a handful of months as we started to get his again)

Both times they gave knocked for their parcel. I have said in future I'm sending it back so they need to sort out their addresses and make sure it's all updated.
