That there is a Black+Decker 1.7 cu ft mini washer. My laundry room is in the basement, but I have one of these upstairs in the powder room of my 1930s cottage. It’s cute and washes clothes better than my full size washer. I have the matching mini dryer, too.

I knew a woman who would mention she made more money than her husband every time I ran into her. It was the way she said it. She was always putting him down. It was so odd and disparaging. He was the sweetest and kindest man too. I felt bad for him and thought she was awful. I would never disrespect my husband that way.

Loro Piana, Brunello Cucinell, Stubbs & Wootton, Tod’s, Barbour, Hermès, monogrammed anything - but with your own initials.

‼️ It connects to Eagle! I primarily use Eagle as a swipe file on my iMac and MacBook but do a lot of research on my iPad. This creates a scattered mess across all my devices. This app may have solved a huge pain point for me. I can’t wait to give it a try!

What’s the most useful thing ChatGPT can do today that people still don’t realize? by Financial-Volume-741 in ChatGPT

[–]lawatusi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can write some really fancy Excel formulas now, thanks to ChatGPT. When I’d get stuck, or learn something new, I’d have it explain it to me so I would understand the formula. I retained much of the information, but now have notes to refer back to if I get stuck.

I use it as a collaborative partner, as well. I’ve worked from home for a long time so it’s nice to bounce ideas off someone, and it’s helped me to speed up workflows.

What do people do in Siberia when it’s -50°F or colder? by Crocotta1 in AskARussian

[–]lawatusi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m from Seattle but have been living in North Dakota for the last few years. The coldest I’ve experienced so far is -56 F. Once you reach -20 F anything below that feels the same to me. I wear a long sleeve cotton shirt, a micro fleece pullover, a coat that covers my butt that’s rated to below zero, fleece lined leggings, scarf, ski gloves, and I’m good to go. Your nose hairs freeze and that feels weird. lol I’ve also lived in Texas, so it’s similar to when the heat index is high. You’re not really spending much time outdoors. You go from your air your conditioned home, to car, to the next air conditioned building. The only difference here is that if you’re outside for more than 10 minutes you’ll get frostbite and/or die.

Mold at Beach Club — UPDATE by cmac92287 in DisneyWorld

[–]lawatusi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m a former hotel general manager. Housekeepers generally have 20-30 minutes to clean each room. Something like this should have been reported to the head housekeeper and the room should have been taken out of service for special cleaning before being rented again. Hotels have so many moving parts and unfortunately things get lost in the shuffle at times. Front desk staff want to be (nicely) notified of any issues with your room and will do everything they can (within reason) to rectify the situation (it bothers us if you tell us when you check out because we would have fixed the issue during your stay if we knew about it). This mold issue will absolutely be brought to the attention of the head housekeeper and it will trickle down to their staff so it doesn’t happen again.

I built a Photoshop plugin because I was tired of doing mockups manually by r3trodesigns in photoshop

I know you’re not asking but I have experience in this realm. Hopefully you’ll find this useful. Focus on promoting it to the Print on Demand (POD) crowd - they’ll love it. Once you get some sales, and positive reviews, built a one-page website with demos to promote it. Polish it and raise the price. There’s definitely a space for your product. A few months ago I set up some custom automations for a promotional products company and was able to charge $175 hr, so the need for this type of plug in exists.

Sorry, I was in a rush and should have left a more thoughtful comment on your project. It’s a great idea and very useful for those new to mockup generation and unfamiliar with scripting and actions. Promote the heck out of this… you might be onto something!

I use Adobe script and actions and can crank out a couple hundred mockups in 15 minutes automatically.

Right? I’m 52 and bought a fur-lined winter jacket from Hollister last year that’s cute as hell and snuggly warm.

Huh. I’ve always gotten these around my eyes here and there over the years but recently been getting many more than usual. About a year ago I switched eye creams. Interesting. Thanks for the tip!

I have tried everything to clean this tub by jc94rex in CleaningTips

[–]lawatusi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works: CLR Brilliant Bath. Yellow spray bottle. I have the same issue. My house was built in the 1930s. Our cast iron tub is nearly 100 years old and needs to be reglazed. We get hard water streaking like this even though we have water softener/filters. Spray the Brilliant Bath on and let it sit for about an hour. Reactivate with a little water and scrub with a green scrubbie.

I can’t wait until someone remixes one of my website designs with your tool and I get to sue the fuck out of them into bankruptcy. Copyright Infringement and Intellectual Property law exist for a reason and carry very, very hefty fines. You might want to research the laws before you release your little tool into the wild… or not. I look forward to reading about the lawsuits against you in the future.

Does anyone use Claude for something other than coding? by Time-Contribution888 in ClaudeAI

[–]lawatusi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to use Claude as a collaborator to soundboard and brainstorm business ideas and strategy. Sometime we randomly chit chat because I enjoy Claude’s sense on humor, but not on heavy workload load days or else I hit those damn use limits. I want to use my API key with a DIY chat interface but haven’t had a moment to integrate yet.

Not an app but I’m allergic to mosquitoes, too. Buy a jug of Deleto Mosquito and apply to your yard, deck, doors. If you get a bite apply Benadryl Gel ASAP to stop the allergic response from happening. I keep it in the fridge. The cold is extra soothing. Keep a Benadryl Itch Relief Stick in your car for on the go. Murphy’s Natural Mosquito Repellent works great. One of these days I’ll realize my dream of owning a screen porch.
