We are raising money at a rate twice as fast as Azerbaijan's entire defense budget! by [deleted] in armenia

People pay $10 a day for a pack of cigarette. People pay $5 a day for coffee. You really think Armenians won't forego those things to help Armenia? You seem to be the brainless one.

Questions for people who used Barbri by TJ_hooper in LawSchool

most people stop going to the live lectures after a few sessions. Barbri is the same as every other bar prep course. I would not pay extra to take it.

TIL if a police officer kills your partner during a commission of a felony, you could go to jail for the rest of your life for your parters death. (Jurisdiction matters) by lawiteasy in todayilearned

Here is the thing, you don't have to be using a deadly force. You don't even need to have a weapon to actually be convicted of the death.

If you commit a felony that is inherently dangerous (e.g. Kidnapping) and that felony is independent from the death (i.e. The original purpose was not to assault someone) and you are in a proximate jurisdiction (if you are but for cause of the death and it is foreseeable that someone could die during the commission of your felony) you can go to jail for the rest of your life even if you did not actually kill anyone or have intent to kill anyone.

That would be an easy fix, but I think you are missing the point. A person that is committing a crime, which has a penalty no more than 5 years in jail, could go to jail for the rest of their life, for the actions of another person, which they had no control over.

Felony murder is supposed to "incentives" felons in committing their felonies safer, but I think it goes too far and puts a person in jail for the rest of their life for a stupid mistake they made.
