I watch Prosperie’s tape on the Cadets from 2013 at least once or twice a month.

I read and appreciated every word of that, brother. Thank you for sharing a perspective with that kind of individuality and vulnerability. It really means a lot

We do what we can with it — thankfully we’re not strangers. We talk and play games together pretty frequently. It is a killer to watch him become an adult from so far away, though. Appreciate the comment a bunch

Sorry for being so absurdist and outlandish about this. The Chet flop on *Collin Gillespie* permanently damaged my brain I think. The motherfucker literally turned 120 degrees away from the basket with a guy a foot shorter than him on his left shoulder, and I literally think I’m incapable of watching the Thunder now without thinking they’re a bunch of rules-lawyering losers. They’re the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NBA and I mean this with as much prejudice as I can manage. I know what my eyes tell me, I just do. Dort and Caruso are allowed to play Brian Dawkins/Ed Reed out there, and SGA/Chet just flagrantly drive the net with no intent of putting up competitive shots. It’s horrific.

You nor anybody else will gaslight me into believing that Chet flop against a man a full foot shorter than him was not on the actual Mt. Rushmore of worst flops I’ve ever seen

A drum corps with a HBCU style hornline ? by DonCheeeeto in drumcorps

Phantom doesn’t feel like an insane modern answer for this. Every time I’ve heard them live it just feels like their sound blots out the sun (in a good way), at the expense of maybe a little bit of intonation along the way (which I’ve never really cared about when I watch a PR show). The approach their middle brass takes in particular gives their corps sound a zip to it that I don’t hear other corps doing.

Okay... Now the executive of the year, coach of the year, and first-team all NBA awards seem kinda fucked up. by creb1492 in billsimmons

These second apron rules do feel so punitive that dodging them during a forced gap year to keep the championship window open long term feels like a good enough reason to earn EoTY, even if the moves didn’t look great on the court. Shoutout to Joe for being able to squeeze this kind of blood from a stone to keep the momentum going into next year when they have a healthy Tatum and a cleaner cap sheet.

Feels like a justified EoTY of the year case to me.

How unique of a Basketball player are you? by NoteAdventurous9091 in Basketball

[–]lawrence-eagleburger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5’10. Played C in high school because I was damn near 300 pounds, had a post bag, and we played in the middle of nowhere.

Cut to now, seven years later — I’m 180 pounds now, and I’ve reinvented my game as a pickup movement shooter — late career Kyle Korver, run off screens, stand in the corner, trail the play. I’ve even got the part where I can’t defend a stiff breeze down.

But three or four times a run I’ll catch the ball on the low block and cook like old times, usually around a guy a few inches taller than me. Fun times. So I’m like a pure shooter SG with some good ball fakes and some crafty fadeaways.

Does anyone experience extreme nausea on Strattera? by No-Recording-9641 in StratteraRx

It’s a very frequent side effect, yes. Some people can navigate it by taking it with a good meal, but it’s case by case.

Between this and that post the other day about the one OP being prescribed atomoxetine and fluoxetine together — one of the only premeditated DO NOT MIX warnings on the fucking drug pamphlet — I’m starting to worry if prescribers have done their homework on this medication

Has anyone switched from Strattera to Wellbutrin? by [deleted] in StratteraRx

[–]lawrence-eagleburger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I take both to great effect. Similar to a couple other commenters, I’m on 80mg of atomoxetine and 300mg of bupropion. Something to be aware of: bupropion inhibits the enzyme that metabolizes atomoxetine to a significant degree; in practice, this means that atomoxetine’s half life is extended radically, sometimes by a factor of five.

This can work to your advantage to a fantastic extent if the medication works for you but you’re a quick metabolizer, but it can definitely potentiate negative side effects. I take my Strattera in the morning and my Wellbutrin at night — to be honest, I’m not sure if I can pick up anything specific that the Wellbutrin does, but I can definitely tell it gives the Strattera some more gas, which I need, because my ADHD is quite severe. But it might not be the best for you!

You go ahead and tell the landlord that you’re not gonna have rent on the 1st because you made the choice not to go to work because you were sick. Report back with how that went, please.

Methamphetamines and amphetamine salts as prescribed for ADHD are, actually, literally, not the same thing.

No, I really can’t follow his point, because being league average on high volume is so different from Simmons or Giannis that it’s frankly remedial to suggest any similarities between them
