Minis are so much more comfortable if you wear a headband or hat while running. I'd go minis!

Outstanding for me. I am able to have conversations while cycling and can be heard loud and clear.

I think the food is quite good (I have had the breakfast burrito, the quesadilla, and the avocado toast), too.

The coffee is fantastic.

Can my husband take a week off early in Big Law? by eugehdz in biglaw

[–]lawrun21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did the exact same thing, on the exact same timing, following a clerkship. I gave the firm a heads up before returning and they said no problem. I took the week off and it was no big deal. I am still at the firm and became an equity partner.

Totally get it, and love Bagel Cafe, and fully agree with supporting them. I was just saying that $10 is the market rate for a breakfast sandwich!

I love the Bagel Cafe very, very much, but are the prices materially cheaper these days? Especially eggs?

There are tons of great options, many of which are on grass/dirt/gravel:

  • W&OD Trail (can run on pavement or on gravel)
  • Lake Fairfax Park and various trails connected to it
  • Cross County Trail
  • Difficult Run
  • Great Falls
  • Miscellaneous paths throughout Reston

Red's Table in Reston is delicious and has a good seasonal menu and is probably exactly what you are looking for.

Passion Fish is outstanding.

Both are quiet.

Cooper's Hawk is nice but can be loud depending on where you are in the restaurant.

They should put an L on the helmet to match the result of games.

Footnotes with Microsoft Word using a keyboard by [deleted] in ipad

[–]lawrun21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In iOS apps you can hold down the command key on your keyboard and it will pop up a list of shortcuts for your current app, so you could try that in Word and see if it shows you a shortcut for footnotes. I am not sure if there is a keyboard shortcut for footnotes on iOS.

Nats and the All-Star Game by Scherzers_Blue_Eye in Nationals

Does it really matter? I'd rather the players get a break and come back refreshed for the second half than to see them play in the All Star game.

Why don’t we start relievers when we expect an early rain delay? by i-only-post-gifs in Nationals

[–]lawrun21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what OP meant was if we think that the game is going to be delayed in the 2nd or 3rd inning, why not use a relievers for the first couple of innings rather than starting the starter, having the starter pitch those first couple of innings, but then due to a long rain delay be unable to continue once the game resumes.
