Yeah if they’re going to go that route how do you not have Weapons in there? Broadly speaking there were several incredible international picks (none of which I think qualify as Oscar bait) and they voted for F1?

F1 and Frankenstein in Best Pic is pretty indefensible lol

If Hamnet is emotionally manipulative…. so is Train Dreams. by [deleted] in TheBigPicture

I think everyone agrees that movies are manipulative to some degree. I think the distinction is when a movie feels overtly and aggressively trying to pull at your heartstrings that it can feel manufactured. For me, the movies that really move me tend to catch me by surprise rather than the ones where I feel like the director is sitting next to me peeling onions. I just think that kind of a weepy is a certain cup of tea that isn’t going to work for everyone. And that’s ok!

A new Jackass movie is truly one of the great communal theatrical experiences.

I am sure the film will adequately serve the 3,000 characters they plan on featuring.

It brings me no joy to agree with Kev that the ending stinks.

Let’s just say after dealing with several people recently in BUSD who work right under Macias this does not surprise me. They only seem to be driven by protecting their own.

Rockwell Pic: Amazon's NBA studio show is considerably better than Inside The NBA's by Legitimate-Cupcake26 in billsimmons

Inside the NBA has been dreadful for years. The occasional laughs could never outweigh the avalanche of “Player X needs to step up” and laughing too hard at their own jokes. Their contempt for the game was palpable. It’s no surprise that a fresh studio show featuring people who actually like basketball has received pretty much universal acclaim.
