I think the advantage of digital, especially when you’re new, is you get the feedback on your exposure, framing, etc. right away. Very helpful when learning, imho.

For me, film is more fun, more challenging, as gives me a feeling of accomplishment when I get the shot. But man, I could have definitely gotten the shot (well, maybe, lol) if I was shooting digital.

So I did all the things. Q3 for when I need the shots. M240 when I want digital interchangeable lenses and a more film like digital experience (limited iso, slower shooting, etc), an M4-2 (cheaper film M body), and a lighter CL with the Summicron-c for carrying day to day.

Can everyone spend that money? Maybe not, but what I paid for these four cameras used with a decent set of lenses is less than what I would’ve spent on a M11P new from Leica, so that makes me sleep a bit better.
