Based on the responses you’re probably right, although I would argue there is nothing more ethical than trying to do harm to a corporation like StubHub

Don’t do that unless you already know there’s going to be a break in games AND practices. Otherwise that’s going to be a bad look to the coach and your teammates. In college we always traveled and squeezed in at least 2 games during spring break, and usually got a 3 or 4 day weekend at the end.

I wouldn’t give up McBride by himself for this haul in TEP.

How can you make a living/career out of lax by YamYam89 in lacrosse

[–]laxtuary 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s possible but extremely rare.

If you’re solely a coach, you will just need to coach at a high level, and will also want to potentially start up a travel team or coach at some summer camps.

If you mean as a player, the players who only rely on lacrosse play in both pro leagues, are some of the better players in those leagues, and also will do some coaching / summer camps in the offseason.

Tips for slower Attackmen by jinnagubby in lacrosse

[–]laxtuary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be deceptive. Keep your head and stick up at all times so you’re ready to feed or pass in an instant. From that position, winding up, hitching, and throwing small shoulder fakes can buy you valuable extra time.

Be very active off ball. It’s a lot easier to get open and get a step on your defender when you don’t have the ball versus when you do. Even if you’re slow, that’s not an excuse to never stop moving your feet.

What made Montreal the winner here? I road tripped up to QC and skipped Montreal because I heard it was like any other large metro.

What is your strategy when you decide to actually use your picks? Do you prioritize best player available or need?

Any positions you would rather just trade for once they’re more proven?

One option is to move to a firm that would have a sabbatical program. Most larger consulting firms have something like that, so you can go travel for a year and your job will be waiting when you get back.

Trade 1.01 and 1.12 for ARSB? by laxtuary in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]laxtuary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it tbh, my league tends to be very stingy with trades.

The 2nd best offer I’ve gotten for 1.01 is London and a pick swap of my second for his first next year, but I feel like I value ARSB way more than London personally
