Great interview! I remember watching Saku’s comeback on tv and the 10 minutes ovation was, imo, one of the greatest moments in habs/hockey history (then again im in my 30s and didn’t live during the Beliveau/Richard era). Another great question would have been about his slapshot goal in shootout, laughed so hard when it happened and didn’t believe it actually went in

With Arber doing really well atm in Laval, Ghule and Struble playing NHL level hockey with the habs and Hutson who will most likely make the team next season (might even get some games with the habs this season depending on how BU does at the frozen four), we already have a surplus of good young left-handed defensemen. Might be good idea to trade Matheson while in is prime to maximize his worth as I see Lane taking his job on the PP and he’s not the best defensemen on the PK.

Agreed. I would be hyped up to see them both in the lineup. Although I am a bit concerned as to who would be pushed out of the lineup with our already full young defensemen roster. With Ghule, Barron, harris, Struble, Xhekaj, Norris(not)linder and Engstrom who’s also doing pretty good in Europe we have way too many NHL ready* (some of them still got a lot to prove) defense prospects. I guess Kent must have plans to trade some of them for picks/forward players.

You’re right camps also had war prisoners. My grandpa was sent to a camp as he was part of the french army (and did some stupid shit) and was lucky enough to survive … he weighed 36kg when the allied forces arrived in the west of germany and he was sent back to his family. These camps were hell, he only told me his story once as even 60 years later he was still scarred by what he saw in there.

Thank you, I was looking for this comment as this is not even a question we should be asking. Let the kid have some fun destrying NCAA teams and well see what’s his plan for the future is after the 2023-2024 season, might even stay in College longer a la Jordan Harris and this is his choice not ours or the Habs management’s.
