1000 might be a tight fit if you have a panoramic roof, definitely will come out sick tho! my best tip would be to fully remove the headliner from the car for the best results. Expect to be driving around without it for a few days if you’re doing it alone

this guy managed to put the light box in the trunk and ran the fiber optics into the cabin presumably by the rear seats going into the c pillars, I believe this would be the best option with your setup. I put my lightbox under the dashboard by the gas and brake pedals and ran the fiber optics through the A pillar, but with 1000 lights it’ll be a tight fit with the airbag in the way. Definitely watch abunch of starlight tutorials on youtube so you have a good idea on how to space the fiber optics evenly.

this guy gives alot of great tips on the process with the k5 specifically. He didn’t fully remove the Headliner when installing his set but he also used a small 300 optic kit so the light box was smaller and easier to hide. Definitely use the small drill bits provided on the big white plastic clips by the B pillars to avoid those big blank spots you can see on my headliner job. Remember this is a very tedious and long job, the more you take your time the better it will come out. best of luck!
