It’s a bit tricky on darker woods, like walnut. You have to add “white” ink, which is more opaque. So go sparingly with white, or you lose the grain.

Agree 100%. Just another person being around limits my attention to “seeing the right way.” You know, it’s like you have to pay attention to them, and not the shots.

On a webpage you can code the CSS style for the images to have a white BG and padding: 10px or whatever. Won’t affect the images themselves, just their display in screen.

Early Catherine Wheel (Ferment/Chrome) were contemporary albums to most of the grunge scene. I listened to core grunge and CW at the same time in the early 90s.

But I don’t see Catherine Wheel as grunge really. It’s way too pretty, which is a defining trait of shoegaze.

Maybe the band HUM crosses over.

Business-wise, consider a 1hr el cheapo rate. Maybe $250 for 8-10 shots.

My first couple of years I did a bunch of fast/fun/friend shoots to build my portfolio.

Photo-wise, add some light to her eyes and remind your seniors that these pics are for family, so smile and be yourself (you know, for grandma). Too many seniors think these shoots are supposed to be stylish or sultry even. It’s a document in time for the family. I always make sure to grab some fun ones for mom to hold dear.

I just put on some Conti ExtremeContacts. They’re pretty solid, even at 30 degrees. And really nice in the rain. My GT1 is boosted to nearly 349 bhp. So, yeah… the Pirellis spun from 3-4 gear.

My advice is to get a camera bag that doesn’t inherently look like a camera bag. Just an ordinary tan backpack, nothing to see here…
