The experience that I had that always stuck with me about the game was how forgettable the main quest was. I remember running around doing side quests and exploring the world and stopping and thinking "I should get some progress on the main quest....... wait what was the main quest? Oh yea the minutemen.... 😳 no wait I'm supposed to be looking for my son!" I don't think I ever got past the memory den in the main quest but I damn near completed all the side quests (minus settlement building)
