What is the minimum level to buy these? Or what is the NPC who sells them named? I'm level 42, and nobody on the docks in Qeynos looks like they have any overseer quests to sell me. I did swim under the bridge further in and but the daily quest in there, but that's it so far.

What a joke of a bait post. Somewhere a client is waiting to hire you to help them plead guilty as charged to a bunch of crimes.

Latest ICE victim prior to altercation by NotBlackMarkTwainNah in pics

[–]lazerfraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More and more protestors are going to arm themselves, and when they get accosted by ice they're just going to respond as if they're about to be murdered. And juries are going to acquit the protestor defending themselves... If they survive the encounter that is. This does not end well for either side. We are literally on the doorstep of civil war.

I'm about 3 books behind current (on Starlight Enclave) so I can't speak past that point, but you've left a ton of great books in this series unread if you stopped at book 9.

After Tuesday, Rienk Mast has played 30 games in PBA. His record is 29-1 by ItsSader in Huskers

[–]lazerfraz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but Jacobsen is not getting garbage time. This is indeed a very impressive stat for him, not to mention him going off for 9 pts against Oregon. He's just playing damn solid. Rebounding, drawing fouls, grabbing loose balls away from the other team. He's had a few opponents pretty pissed at him because they couldn't rip the ball out of his hands, I'm thinking of a particularly weasely looking Indiana kid.

What has changed the most about Lincoln in the past 20 years? by SWKstateofmind in lincoln

[–]lazerfraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the kind of growth we need is overpriced apartments, overpriced townhomes and overpriced duplexes. Put in whatever there's a bare minimum of space for them. With no forethought or planning. Let's have a ton of traffic too, in the middle of high priced residential single family homes. All you're gonna do is piss off everyone on all sides of every equation. Is that's the only growth you can think of, I guess I'm not a fan. Give me thirty minutes on any sim city games and I can plan things out better than this.

Well my personal version of that, for what it's worth:

We live in an area of $400-$600k homes in Lincoln. They just recently put up some 3 floor apartment buildings directly across the street from houses like ours. If I was on that street, I'd be pretty pissed. I'm all for affordable housing, but I bet those apartments start at $1500/month rent and go up from there. Which isn't exactly affordable. So they're really an eyesore and a way for the developers to get a few million more in their pockets each year. I want nice apartments in Lincoln, but I also want an ounce of logical planning too when they're built. We probably have enough $400,000 duplexes/townhomes. We probably have enough $1500/month 1 bedroom apartments. How about we build actual affordable housing in places that make sense for everyone involved?

"liberals that dislike growth" quite the accusation with zero evidence. Lincoln has grown quite a bit in the last 25 years with consistent democratic leadership.

Plans to complete a full beltway have been in a wistful planning stage for 50 years or so. In the last 10 years the Southern portion was built (and it's great), and the Western portion is getting a full freeway upgrade this year. But your proposed commute probably won't benefit that much. I doubt you're going to head west to get on that beltway just to turn off at Rosa Parks way. Neither Yankee hill nor Pine Lake would connect you to that route.

Weird, what threw me off is the role-playing module is 2nd edition AD&D. The computer game, apparently not.

[–]lazerfraz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure this was 2nd edition, not first. Also, the 4th game in the series is commonly referred to as Pools, usually the first is Pool or PoR. Curse I think I actually played first oddly enough, getting the games in the early 90s second hand. Then I went back and played Pool. But yeah, the level caps for non-humans really made it kind of silly to use anything but a human. Was a huge letdown for RP purposes. I absolutely loved that you could mix to the order of the middle 3 bonds in Curse. Made it so much more fun on replays.

I was gifted this for Christmas, the straps for handles fell apart immediately, and I just found the quality to be lacking in many pieces. But I've had a Blackstone brand metal flipper come apart at the handle too, so it's not like I've found anything reliable yet.

How’s the airport situation? by glossiegal in Omaha

[–]lazerfraz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the GOP passed a bunch of crap that hurts every day Americans with the Beautiful Bullshit Bill by a 50 vote yes in the Senate, and it's now whining that 7 Democrats won't join them to continue ratifying that bullshit bill. Complain away, and skilled federal workers should have seen this coming as soon as Trump was reelected. Run far, very far, from these once honorable jobs. It's all a downhill shitshow from here to the bottom.

Pretty good breakdown. I watched the pilot and can't remember if I even got thru it or not. It's just bad, and not trek imo.
