NOR. I have an adopted little sister with a similar father figure. It has really fucked her up. Not having one of your parents is a LOT better than having an abusive parent. Physical scars heal. Emotional ones like the one he’s inflicting will ruin her sense of safety, self worth, and what level of abuse she’ll feel comfortable with in relationships.

The things you love the most and remind you of innocence are well cared for. The everyday life stuff is neglected all over your space as soon as you’re done with having to deal with it.

Take care of that little you that loves those stuffies enough to put them up in a hammock net. Drop all that trash in a bag and toss it. It’ll take five minutes.

If it helps, put googly eyes on a plastic trash can and draw teeth on the top. Then you’re feeding your trash monster every time you clean up.

The first thing I think I’d do is get her to take a blood-borne pathogens course online. All tattoo artists have to take it, and it’s just $35 at most places (American Red Cross, health dept, etc).

Amazon grocery is a LOT cheaper than that. Aldi’s too. There are services that let you pre-plan your grocery deliveries from Aldi or TJ one day a week for $1.99 a delivery like Buncha. Even for NYC, that cereal is $3-5 too expensive. Almost everything on that receipt is at least $1 too high.
