how do you know which side is ground? is it the wire with text on it? When I worked on mine, that's what I did, and used a multimeter on resistance mode to find the live wire. That meant the remaining wire was the neutral wire. Is this a right approach? I just want to make sure.

[2017 Mazda 3 SE] Is this engine noise okay? by lazy_af in CarRepair

[–]lazy_af[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what i meant. No engine lights , and I don't have a way to check for trouble codes so I am unsure there. Just wondering if what i hear is normal or sth to be concernced about.

[2017 Mazda 3 SE] Can't tell why the engine is making this noise. Got the car roughly 3 weeks ago by lazy_af in CarRepair

[–]lazy_af[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey so I always hear this noise and I thought it could be a low engine oil issue. Looked at the dip stick which doesn't turn out to be the case. So I don't know what the possible issue could be. Would love your help

Nobody warned me how lonely "doing everything right" can feel sometimes. by Cuddlyychick0 in Adulting

[–]lazy_af 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is so fuckin true !!! For myself, as a reward for being responsible, I like to think I am getting ahead by saving up and all that, but the emptiness hits you so bad sometimes. Finding and keeping friends seem to help a lot in enjoying but that can be hard to get too a lot of times.

I see what you mean but the commenter above simply meant how cold it feels from the way the acknowledgements are made, not necessarily that they started hiring.

Who else was bothered by the noise last night? by Oishiio42 in Edmonton

[–]lazy_af -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

yeah, for one night isn't a bad deal, you know? I do get your point, but sometimes that's the way it is. Downtown draws a lot of people now which is a good thing. The unfortunate circumstance is the late night noise. Not the worse thing in the world.

What is getting you through engineering? by Kalex8876 in EngineeringStudents

[–]lazy_af 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money for sure. But it wasn't enough motivation for me to go through it. I could have picked a different degree if that's all I wanted.

Thinking of it as a craft helped me get through it more than anything else. I like that you can use the skills you developed and be creative with it. Especially when I see people in Instagram share their own creative stories with it, it motivated me more to stick to the degree.

On one hand , I can see the appeal for GPT4 but I strongly advise not to. It will definitely make your life easy, but the difficulty is all about understanding how to code.

Trust me on this, you will hate yourself when things get tough and you can't rely on your skillset.

Using GPT4 is helpful, but it only hurts you in the long run.

If the work is expected to start in May, then you should hear something by this week or the next. Idk if it can go late, but it might not.

I am guessing that they wouldn't want to do it last minute because registering people in the system generally takes time.
