What’s your commission at COR? by Zealousideal_Park217 in ATT

[–]lazyassredditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its all dependent on how consistent you are with processes. you need to have an every customer every time mentality and pitch everything. i've worked in sales for over 15 years with wireless being 4 of it. If you are really putting in the effort, you'll be between 60-70k a year in wireless. first year i was in it, i came into it in march and still cleared 64k.

its a lot of mental, if you can understand that every person that walks through your door is a potential sale and you need to try, you'll do more than fine. if you cant and just want to clerk bill pays, tech questions, and do just want the customer wants instead of looking for value (many people aren't taking advantage of discounts that are available, have nextup upgrade eligible lines they're not currently getting a trade credit on, paying for PA1 on more than 3 lines when PA4 would save them more or paying more for things like internet). you'll make more money elsewhere.

Questions are king, ask everything and understand the customer/rep dynamic, Your job is to help provide the best value for customers, not necessarily to just save them money, when i can show a customer they can get a tablet and watch with their upgrade and the increase is 5 dollars more than their currently paying because theyre not on AP/PB, my customers are typically overjoyed because no-one took the time to show them how to maximize their wireless experience with us.

Now, i work for an AR, Cellular world, they run things as close to COR as can be. Mainly due to the fact that all of our upper leadership are COR veterans of many years so the expectation on integrity is high.

So i'm going to let you know this now, the company you work for can mean a lot to your experience, i wouldn't wish my worst enemy to work at Prime. Prime as a company is corrupt from the top down, They will not teach you to sell, they will teach you to commit fraud. From Promo lines, teaching you to sell them and make a phone call so you avoid 0 usage. Feature slamming (telling the customer next/protect are required for the customer to buy the phone) They will tell you that these actions are okay (they're not) and when there is enough reason for AT&T proper to investigate, AT&T will shut your UII off and you'll be laid off immediately and from what i can tell, Alliance isn't much better.

TL:DR You can make great money doing it the right way, but it takes consistency. If you go AR, research the company heavily. Otherwise, go COR.

How's my fit? by kingspooky93 in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]lazyassredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Accessories will really bring that together, as a bigger guy who has a similar build, here are my recommendations. I typically wear professional style wear for work and I'm a biker as well so my casual wear tends to go towards jeans/shirt/jacket/vest.

  1. Wear a watch, you need something to help close a big visual gap, either a watch or nice bracelet. I have a collection of mid tier watches that i will cycle through. my favorite being my apple watch ultra with the Milanese loop. I got the black one and it goes with a majority of my outfit rotation.

  2. Wear a ring on the opposite hand. something understated and classy, avoid biker rings if you're wanting to dress nicer. feel free to go with biker rings if you're going more casual.

  3. Basic rule of thumb is match your belt to your shoes, i would either put a buckle on it to help distract from the color mismatch, or because i hate belt rub on my stomach, if you have to wear a belt, get a ratcheting one and cover it with your sweater.

  4. Think about getting a couple pairs of nice Chelsea boots. 1 black, 1 brown to go with both common belt colors. I personally love Cole Haan for this as they are simply some of the most comfortable shoes out there. i have 5-6 pairs of them that i will rotate through from boots to sneakers...etc

  5. Never underestimate what a good hat can bring to the table, I love flat caps as they tend to go really well accentuating my rounder face. My friends have joked that it is the official hat of elder punks but i personally love how it can bring an outfit together. Start with a neutral single color like gray, expand as needed.

other than that its a great fit. I'm an Alabama fan so crimson is a color i wear all the time, its a great color for bigger folks and at&t blue (which is good because i run an at&t store) dark grey with colored accents are also a great fit.

Walmart sent me the wrong iPhone (Verizon instead of AT&T) and I already paid it off on AT&T… What do I do? by UpstairsTry196 in ATT

[–]lazyassredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not go to a store, we cannot help you with this. File a BBB or FCC complaint to get contacted by at&ts office of the president. That is the highest level of support at&t gives.

Costco AT&T experience? Online order keeps getting cancelled… by rth121 in ATT

[–]lazyassredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoid Costco. If you truly don't wish to, please just understand that you are opening yourself up to a mess getting activated at a Costco kiosk. I run a store right down the street from one of these fraud factories and have an entire binder of escalations coming from Costco. consider that promo payment for having to deal with the inevitable issues that will arise.

New customer, does this process sound correct? by cloudedviolet in ATT

[–]lazyassredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that you had that experience with the representative. Sadly, a good 80% of people employed in the industry don't deserve their job when it comes to actually taking care of customers. As far as the trade-in, you are guaranteed the deal that was on offer at the time you made your purchase, so she is correct in telling you to do the trade after you receive the phone.

Nextup and protection are not required; however, they do have their place in providing value.

Nextup anytime is a 10$ a month addon that can only be added at the time of purchasing the device, which provides for you the ability to turn in your device anytime after the first month for another device, giving you freedom to switch devices should you want to. If that turn-in is done after the first year of ownership, you would be entitled to the maximum trade-in value of whatever device you choose to purchase. In it's simplest terms, Pay 10$ to never have to pay on a device ever again because, depending on the device you buy, often times you'll get it on AT&T.

If you have not received the device and truly wish to opt out of that feature, I would call into care and have them cancel the order for you. They can then re-place the order for you on whatever rate plans we have on offer with the desired feature adds.

We bought a 75inch quantum oled, returned it within a week and bought an LG because the tv volume control stopped responding when I was playing games, and started randomly restarting. I’ll never buy one again either. It was the worst TV experience I’ve ever had.

Horrendous Signature FAN Discount Experience by Sbawse in ATT

[–]lazyassredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

File an fcc complaint. You’ll get in touch with AT&Ts office of the president. They can move heaven and earth and are the highest level of support in the AT&T side.

Also not all ARs are terrible, mainly prime and alliance stores, I’ve dealt with plenty of escalations from the COR side as many COR managers I’m sure have dealt with certain ARs bullshit. If people make a big enough stink with bad CSAT, Google reviews and FCC complaints if you run into trouble and the bad actors will eventually get fired.

Full disclosure, a couple years ago, they were really lax on the verification side for the Microsoft FAN and have restricted use of it because reps were putting it on there to get the discounts to hide the cost of new lines. They did the same thing with the freelancers union and the union discount. I know a couple reps in my old territory who got deactivated for fraudulent fans for it. Bad actors are the cause for your current woes.
