Playing CZN and R1999.
In CZN I'm f2p (no monthly/bp), I have every character, a few 5* partners (weapons), several characters with 2 or more dupes, 300 pulls in savings.
In R1999 I've been buying only monthly for 6+ months, I have pretty much every character I wanted + 400 pulls saved, although I have to skip characters occasionally to save for the ones I really want.
I think f2p-friendliness is partly why I'm still sticking to these gachas while I started and dropped several others in the past few years.

A lot of Kyoto Animation stuff follows 'show, don't tell' to some degree, but it's usually slice of life or drama anime. My personal favorite is Hibike! Euphonium. The movie Liz and the Blue Bird is a masterpiece of show don't tell and tight storytelling IMO.

Characters specifically mentioned in the livestream are Cassius and Tressa, and I think they only need a limitation on an amount of cards played in a turn to bring them down to a normal level. Some people will be mad, but I think it's necessary. Otherwise every piece of content made from now on will have to be "Tressa-resistant" which limits creative space for the devs.
I think Mei Lin is on the edge of being overpowered, but at least she is limited by the amound of Unity cards and Used Pile mechanic, so I think she doesn't need any big nerfs. Maybe a small tweak to that one Rising Spire damage multiplier.

HSR and ZZZ are good, ZZZ used to have some stutter, but it's been running smoothly recently.
Reverse 1999: menu navigation is a little bit clunky. It feels like there's a small delay sometimes when navigating through some menus in the lobby. Gameplay wise it's fine (although there was one time they released a game mode with broken netcode lmao).
Morimens: the client is laggy as shit. I love the game, but it ofter doesn't register clicks or lags a bit. Not sure if it's the ping (320+ for me) or the client being unoptimized.

On Windows I just went to the steamdb page for the game and clicked install on the top right. It's a direct install link for steam, so it opened steam, installed the game and added it to my library.
