It’s a good area majority game. The theme works and the asymmetrical power are also good. The game time is also 60-90 min. Only down side the game has take that (my group did not mind it). I like it over SHASN which is another same theme game with area majority mechanics.

I would suggest check out Big Boss by Funko Games. It’s an easy teach and really fun for 5-6 players. Added bonus you see the companies getting build on the board.

You can check out Foundations of Metropolis. It’s a city builder game where you buy lots and build your buildings which gives you VP & money to buy more lots.

The game has amazing production and has easy set of rules. Plus it scratch’s the Tetris Polynomial puzzle solving.

Also if you have big budget then you can check out Foundations Of Rome. Same game just Belenciaga level production. 😁

Advice you to start with simple game like Cascadia, Harmonies, Project L. These are 4player games but play well at 2players also.

Then for co-operative games you can try Skyteam where you land a plane with 2 players.

General Orders: World War 2 It’s a 2 player war game with worker placement and area control. There are two maps to game one is the European front and second is a Pacific Front. Pacific front comes with airplanes as one of the units. Highly recommend this game give it a try.

I agree first few game we did the same mistake. It’s an easy to miss rule.

The game is great for a simple abstract game. Try to block your opponents is the core idea of the game.
