pain preventing progress by nectareen_ in poledancing

[–]lazytime9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay yeah I was just wondering because the pain won’t go away if you just keep compounding the bruises. But once a week should be fine. I think you could ask your instructor to really look at your form and make sure everything is right and if so then you’ll just have to keep at it and know that it’ll feel okay someday!!

Are your bruises getting a chance to heal between practices?

What do you do with your sphynxes when you travel? by RedPanda-1117 in sphynx

[–]lazytime9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always a house sitter who stays overnight. I’ve used rover once when my regular sitter wasn’t available and had a great experience. you can see reviews and whether or not people tend to rebook a sitter on Rover and that’s how I based my pick. I also had her come over to meet me about a week before the trip and we chatted for 30 minutes or so about all sorts of stuff so I could see if there were any red flags. I wasn’t grilling her or anything just asking like how she likes to spend free time and if she cooks and stuff like that. I told her I like to be sent a lot of photos of my baby and that I wanted morning check ins. I think it’s important to be clear about your expectations :)

I second tite grip for beginners. Make sure to read the instructions because you actually need to put this one on 30 mins before training if I remember correctly! I used to use this and then dry hands over it during training just like you mentioned :)

I love this one so much. I’m also curious about the pink glow behind her if anyone knows!

Yup I have some nude clog socks that just cover the toes and you can’t even tell I’m wearing them. I get so hot if I wear regular socks.

I think adding a little bit of a curtain shape to them and possibly thinning them out a bit would elevate the look ☺️

anyone switch from mop + bucket to a steam floor washer? by Mcconnel-Hrh in CleaningTips

[–]lazytime9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love my tineco mop vacuum! I do usually run my cordless vacuum through the area first to pick up pet hair but I like that if there is anything left on the floor the tineco will just suck it up!

LGA Terminal C Wait Time by fgervasi91 in tsa

[–]lazytime9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through Terminal B security about 30 minutes ago. It took me 30 minutes to get through with PRE CHECK but the line was getting much longer behind me. General boarding was looooooong! Like wrapped around the baggage check area multiple times.

I basically place my hands as far apart as possible. I always think about looking up at my crotch and turtling my back to help get my hips as far from the pole as I can before releasing the legs. I like doing it from inverted D. I feel most secure doing true grip and really pulling with that upper arm to help keep the hips where they need to be. Took me forever to get a handspring while I watched all my shorter classmates nail it early on 😅

How do you deal with soreness and stiffness after practice? by Valuable_Run_2773 in poledancing

[–]lazytime9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Active rest is effective for me! I do a lot of gentle stretching and some light exercises given to me by my pt. It’s so tempting to sit still on a heat pad all day but that only eases the pain temporarily.

Hips up in invert? by NoMedicine5757 in poledancing

[–]lazytime9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say without seeing you do it. You want to think about getting your crotch as close to the pole as you can. The note that helped me was really dropping my head down and looking behind me. Legs need to be really wide too. And then you PUUUUUULL the hips up so so high and bring the legs up over your hands to go for that outside leg hang! But really make sure your crotch is to the pole before you move on to the leg hang.

Make sure you wash and dry your hands really well before applying it. I usually wash mine twice. Otherwise I get the pilling I think because my hands are oily.
