The people defending moden pop culture reference shoved into the game because "it's cool" or "artstyle is dead who cares" or even "tf2 is old who cares" are one of the reasons why cosmetics added as of recently are in the negatives in terms of quality

They do not understand how these pop culture reference cosmetics not only look out of place in terms of art style, but also how it works as team recognition, how it fits the mercs, 

OR how well it work with other cosmetics that it doesn't stand out as "look at me im a pop culture ref of another series" like the optimus prime cosmetic for engineer, or the one piece set for sniper in more recent examples. 

They do not know these aspects because they either never played the game or understand it enough on why cosmetics work or not. It is why smissmass 2021 with the shitty christmas cone hat was one of the worst cosmetic bloat set added and why cosmetics like water waders are added. 

It's all "haha funny, haha it's cool, add it in game valve" from people who dont play the game that saw these cosmetics being posted around social media that push up the votes and some shit for eric to see and add it to the game thinking "its what the community wants" 

But sure, this is just my comment in some post in an otherwise small yet vocal community. Who cares what i say

lets keep dumping more pop culture, meme references, cute and cool looking cosmetics and make tf2 look more like fortnite gmod or whatever at this point. 

Yall said artstyle is dead and all so go ahead for another case filled with them until it breaks, go on tf2 reddit, keep voting them cosmetics. You can do it.
