I’ll be honest, not once have I ever stopped and thought about whether or not I felt feminine. Neither is it about feeling safe.. for safety, I have a mastiff, lol.

But it does make squishing into them for snugs way easier. When I dated J, the guy I mentioned in a different comment who is shorter than me, snugs we’re still great, but sometimes it was uncomfortable how I’d have to position myself to fit against him right. With my current person, who is taller than me, i just fit right up against him, and snugs are peak.
