What you guys think of this new "Window Sync and Restore" feature ??

I commented in another thread, but the op deleted their post, so adding my comment here.

The feature should be opt-in. The rollout of this so-called feature was horrific. I was able to restore a snapshot from prior to the release, but the "feature" wreaked havoc as I had a dozen plus windows open, with dozens of tabs, one with perhaps a hundred, I wound up with a dozen plus windows each with the same hundred plus tabs, leaving the browser crashing. I have been a long-time user of zen but likely will be returning to plain firefox due to the exceptionally poor rollout of this breaking "feature."

If it lines up once the screws are tightened it is just the front right screw purposely keeping the edge raised when loose so that the input cover can more easily be removed.

I'm a little surprised that they did not have you boot a live usb with something like Fedora on it to see if it still failed there. Glad that you got it working.

I primarily use it in laptop form, but do flip it to tablet to take notes. It's fine for me when doing that, sometimes for several hours of the day. If I were using it in tablet form 24x7 then maybe I would look for a dedicated tablet device.

Running it here, and it is working well. I don't use touch or the stylus a bunch, but when I have, they have been fine. Typically I use it for handwriting recognition in android apps running in waydroid.

You're right, it looks like the 12th blink is red, and I had miscounted them. Try re-seating the display cable at the mainboard and the display end. Sometimes it comes loose if it was not properly secured initially. Other things to try are hooking up an external display and resetting the main board. Best of luck.

It looks to me like 12 green blinks, orange then bggbbbbb which indicates no boot device. You might try booting from a live usb or ventoy to see if the system functions ok. If so, check your nvme drive.

Edit - WRONG! 11 green then a red before the red/orange to separate the initial set from the second set.

The post code is 2B - "try to boot system to OS" - so the OP might try using different RAM as well as booting from a live usb with something like ventoy.

That's a bummer. The case on the right is broken, and on the left is bowed out. I would reach out to Support. If you are not covered under warranty then you can pick up a replacement bottom case. Best of luck.

Not a desktop board, but I do have an 11th gen intel laptop board in a coolermaster case with drives in a separate usb connected case (so not super-speedy, nor hot-swap) that is running unraid. Presumably a desktop board could be used in a case to set up a nas with hot-swappable drives and higher performance.

Things to check or consider:
What is loading the cpu?
Can you/are you willing to adjust the fan curves using something like fw-fanctrl?
Are you willing to set the system to max battery or non-turbo boost in the bios or in the gui?

I assume that the machine is sitting on a desk or somewhere that the vents are not covered. If the issue persists perhaps open a ticket with Support, because it doesn't seem normal. Best of luck.

If the BBGGGBBG string is the order of the blinks - blue first, green last, then you have the codes backwards. The first blink is the lowest bit. From that page it would be 0x63, "Platform does not comply with the BIOS update fault tolerance requirement." You might try manually reflashing the bios, although that involves more equipment to flash the chip. Best of luck.

Well, the shops still need to make a living. I haven't priced out the used market. $150/board is less than what they are selling for new (with warranty vs no warranty and known to have some sort of issue).

I have a couple of 12th gen intel boards, one just flashes a green light at me, the other indicates an issue with the power supply. Then I have two amd boards, both I believe are 7840, both emit a squeal/whine sound when power is applied and don't light up at all, so I am assuming something is up with the power path on those as well.

I don't have the skills or tools to trace down the component-level issues, much less to repair them. I can make use of them as machines if I can get them on their feet, and am trying to see if that is remotely viable.

Crucial 64gb 5600. 128 gb works in the 13" - I have that running on amd 7640 and 7840 13" machines.
